hi, i won't be long in this tribe, just had a question about how to solve a problem with sticky keys.
i'm not sure how it happened, but one day i opened my laptop and the up arrow key, enter, and "u" are all hard to depress and take a bit to rise to the surface.
is it wise to pop off the key and treat it? i'm sure it must be a residue issue because i've tried can-o-air and that's not working.
i'm hesitant to pry the keys off because this isn't a typwriter and who knows how much damage i could do.
if anyone has a solution without taking it to bestbuy (cause i hate em) please let me know.
thanks,
matt

Re: sticky keys
Wed, December 19, 2007 - 9:14 AMReplace the keyboard. You can look your system up online and buy a replacement keyboard for around $30. It's not hard to replace if you're mechanicly inclined. Popping keys off a laptop can leave you with no keys.
