Kern County Fair 2008

We will be performing twice again this year

Wednesday September 17...6-7p.m. (THIS IS A TIME CHANGE!) We will be performing on the Geico Stage~KC Loop (old Health Net). Our half time entertainment will be the Centre Stage Cloggers

Monday September 22nd...4:30-5:30p.m. We will be performing on the San Joaquin Community Hospital Stage (THIS IS A STAGE CHANGE!!!)
Our half time entertainment will be the MisSteppers (cloggers)

They are supposed to be changing it on the internet calander...I sure hope so. Thinkin they may not get it done for newspaper though.

Calmness in our lives.

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."

So I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos and a box of chocolates.

You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now.

Last weeks class...We coverd a GRIP of choreography! KUDOS for all of those who made it to class! That was a workout! Even Erin said that she was SWEATIN! heh heh!

Happy Summer

Can you believe it, its summer already. Just seems like yesterday I was worried about snow. Time does seem to fly. So what are everyones plans. Rex and I are going to try to get away sometime in July for his birthday. With gas prices the way they are, dont think we will be going to far, but its been a while since we got away together. L'l David called us, from Iraq, last night. Seems as though Yolanda went into labor and had Jonathan Mathew last night! He was 5 pounds 3 ounces! Not much of a little guy there to hug, yet! Everyone is happy and healthy. L'l David will be able to fly home (NC) and be with them December 30th.

That DOES make the THIRTEENTH grandbaby for us! Sure am glad that I'M not doin all the work!!!

Nails!

Okay...How many of you are gonna believe that Nails (as we so affectionately call him "tough as...")...Is STILL kickin!!! He pulled back from that up-side-down...Swollen eye stupper!

Nails still props himself up on that rock (on and off). But...He is not floatin up-side-down, anymore?!?!? What the...??? He got progressively worse for about 2 months...Fins eaten up and EVERYTHING! Now, he is swimmin like NOTHIN happened!!!...Cept, he has chewed up fins. They even seem healthier!!! Never saw ANYTHING like this, with a fish!

You know with all the "young energy "in the room, (and I'm not just talkin about Kierra and Brittany here ladies),
I was all into the moment...well the "moment" has lasted for a while now LOL ( yes I did the cooling down part like you told me Evelyn lol!)
Im thinkin I need to sign up for a yoga class now, as recommended. by Heather...I come home and watch Rachel Brice on "youtube" and I swear to God im gonna dance like this when I grow up!.! okay....now if I could only "get" up lol

Gloomy-Dreary Days...All Too Soon

Okay...I posted this on my personal site. Then, kept thinking about our troupe. So...I just wanted to post this here...Even though it isn't all Gypsy stuff. Truly...I want to thank each and every Gypsy. You all fill my life with dear moments, happiness, and loads of laughter. What can I say to that?! My heart hold close the snapshots of time that we have together!:

BOY! Is it here ALL too soon! Gloomy-dreary days! Usually, I get depressed and melancholy! Queer thing...I am unusually perky and happy, this morning!?! Maybe, it is cause I got up and had my carpets cleaned by 9:00a.m?! Maybe, it is cause I over-booked my day!?! EEEK!!! OR...Maybe, it is becauseI am surrounded by such wonderful people, these days!

I do have a wonderful husband, no doubt! People probably get tired of me saying that...But...It just is so true! Nough said, for now, anywayz!

I have such wonderful kids, their wives, and families. Things are wonderful when we are all together (well in small segments, as we have 4 fabulous boys, 4 of their fantastic wives, and 12 confusing but always loved grand ones...Awaiting 13 in January).

Friends are dear and wonderful, as well. We know that we have some great people surrounding us and that is ALWAYS a good thing!

Then, there is this troupe. It is taking on a life of it's own. It is growing...changing...evolving. I pause when I think of the wonderment that is swelling up from within the ranks. We have wonderful people comming to us. Pam says it is like having a slumber party each time we go to class. I have to echo her sentiment, here. Can we bring wine and cheese to the slumber party??? ha! Truly though, I feel blessed to be a part of this almost magical creation.

So...Bring it on gloom and dreary. I'll take it...AND keep smilin. It'll make um all wonder...Just what the heck I'm UP to! heh heh

Brittany had a wonderful time tonite and has asked to continue class...I thank you all for making her feel welcome. I feel this will bring out a more postive female energy in her as she blossoms now into womanhood..plus shes surrounded by the best!
Class tonite was great!!! would love to have the music to PRACTICE with at home...right foot steps fine...now the left needs to follow suit..... I hope you all scrub your feet! LMAO for those of you who forgot your "goody ",let me know at next class so you can be scrubbin tooo

Almost Done!

Okay...

I am ALMOST done copying the videos from our performances at the Kern County Fair! WHEW! I only have about 6 more hours of taping to do. What that means to you all...Is that I WILL be bringing the tapes to class Tuesday!

Next, I will be cutting the new music!

I have also posted some new photos of the Kern County Fair 2007. (Well...Atleast it is 2007 and not 2006).

Also, I am trying to get the pictures from October's Artisan's Guild performance uploaded, shrank, and posted.

This IS the busiest time of the year for me...So, thanx fer hangin IN there with me!

Tattoo's

Ok I found this fabulous website that has tons of tattoo ideas on it. If you find one you can order the stencil and pic from them and take it to your own artist. Mine was done at Pirate Ink in Wofford Heights. Bobbi does a fantatic job and the prices are reasonable.

PS this is for those of you that were thinking about having one done for getting more done

OKAY! WHO is the PHOTO POLICE!!! You are SOOOOoooo lacking on your job! I KNOW I HAD to have appointed SOMEone!...Didn't I??? OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I cannot beLIEVE that I am THIS far beHIND in the photos!!! I "THOUGHT" that I had posted more of the photos from the private parties and all...But...I guess that I started to and then...Well...FORGOT!

Today...I have posted MANY photos!!! I am only on about #67-ish (and that is duplicating some on others' pages, TOO)...And I am trying to get more posted. Having some computer tantrums...But...I will continue hammering away at the keys...LITERALLY! heh heh

I just wanted to say all of you put on a terrific show. And thank you for helping me through my bout of nerves.
My family and friends loved the show and though all of us looked wonderful. Thank you for making me feel

I had such a great time! The performances were wonderful! Everyone did such a lovely job! We sure did get alot of compliments!

Thank you, everyone, too...For pushing out of your comfort zones and trying new things! FABULOUS!

I am SO looking forward to doing it again on Wednesday 5:30-6-30p.m. KC Lane Stage (San Juaquin Healthnet stage).

OMG! I have been SO bogged down with prepairing for our performances, 2 new puppies, and life in general! I am SO FAR behind on just about EVERYthing!!! Does anyone else know that feeling!?!?

ANYway...I just had to stop and enjoy the sound/s of the rain. It is such a cleansing thing, when you let it in. AND...It is bringing cool weather for the Kern County Fair! WOOO HOOOOooooooo!

I will try to post some here...But, got bit by some kinda ugly bug, yesterday (right ear). My ear puffed up twice the size. Today, my face (up to the temple is swollen, red, and hot). Also, my jaw and neck are also swollen red and hot). I went to the docs and am on some serious meds...So, I am not feelin so zesty.
