A friend from Alaska visited last week, and the first night we was in town we went to In-n-Out. She loved it so much, we went back 3 days in a row. I never knew they could make french fries animal style before!

cheese paper...

as posted in another thread - mrs barsnake thinks eating the cheese paper is gross.

but...she called from out of town the other night and confessed to almost eating the cheese off of the paper...what she DID do was eat the squooshed out cheese that was stuck to the box. she did have a recommendation which i tried today...order yer burger with extra cheese! - you always get good cheese paper...or in my wife's case - cheese cardboard.

tears of joy that there is much discussion in the in n out burger tribe. hooray! bella....i thought of you today as the final jeopardy question was this: What are the US, Russia, and Finland? (the answer was something about the first three countries you'd hit if you left canada westward at the arctic circle. i got it right, hooray for me!)

when are you coming to the right hemisphere, anyway? we need to get you a double double, stat!!!! i'd send you some cheese paper, but that's just mean.

Which first, which last?

Heya,
To answer my own question, my first In N Out that I ate at was in Azusa, California. I have also, eaten at the original locale of Baldwin Park. The last, I ate at was the new one in Long Beach on PCH because that was the closest to where I last lived. I hate that damn drive thru, though.

...times could I possibly eat at IN n Out, in a two or three week period. Especially considering that I don't want to gain an enormous amount of weight. I suppose I can check the website for calories, right. I may seem silly but one of the considerations I have for my first visit home to CA, is eating at In n Out. I have to think of the other places I want to eat, too. I am seriously thinking that this would be the first meal I eat out of the airport, a cheeseburger and fries. That should really hit the spot.

I love In-n-Out because I feel like it's some sort of secret society. I came to SF from the east coast and people would tell me all these rumors about ordering things "doggystyle" and "animal style" and whatnot, and the only thing I've ever actually ordered was animal style (delishhhh). Is there a list of what the styles are and what they mean?

We show Great Danes and travel up and down CA. quite a bit.
Our favorite treats for our dogs is when we find an In-N-Out!

Both danes love single cheese burger - no lettuce / no onions...

only one of them likes the fries!

I was hoping we could get sponsorship.

a freakin in n out tribe, too awesome, god bless the moderator there....too bad i live in florida and cant eat there anymore, i barely eat burgers at all now since ive been back, its just not the same...i miss my double double and even though they suck, i miss my breakfast jack at 3 in the afternoon....

I saw "supersize me" today and vowed never to eat fast food again. While walking away from the theater I made a bargain with myself. I will allow myself to have an in and out animal style only once a month forever and ever because they are just sooooooo worth it. ;)

I friggin' love In-N-Out! Hot, drippy, fresh red meat with a side of fresh hand made fries...MMMMM...even when I wasn't eating meat (a brief lapse, I'm okay, now) I could go there and get a grilled cheese with all the goodies, grilled onions, spread (I always get an extra side of spread), lettuce, more spread...MMMMMM!!

double double

so, here's my silly new tribe...
tonight my order was:
a number one animal style with root beer
a number one, extra spread only, large diet coke (that's me)
plain cheeseburger, cut in half (for my 2 year old)
double double animal style, hold the onions

mmmm. soooo very very good. i have several friends who used to live in california that say the number one thing they miss is double doubles! my brother in law eats at in-n-out like, seven or eight times when coming home from the navy!

so, how much do you love in-n-out? and what's your order? and are you thinking to yourself right now, "hmm... they're open 'til 1am, right?" :D
