I am leaving for BRC early Friday morning, but don't have a camp to stay at.
Where do people that don't have a camp stay at?
Is there a general area?

Re: where do people with no camp go?
Fri, August 29, 2008 - 4:07 PMMy advice is to sell your ticket and not to go. You've already missed out on most of everything awesome. At this point, all the major interactive art has broken down, there are just a sea of drunken people everywhere.
Also, you should have used these last days of not going to the good part of burning man to read about burning man on www.burningman.com
there really is good information there.
but, if I haven't dissuaded you, and you're still going to go for the last two nights (which is a major waste of money in my opinion), you just go and find an empty spot in the camping area. You talk to the people nearby and check with them if the spot is open. Then you set up camp. Then you'll wander around trying to find something to do. You'll be so confused as to how things operate that you'll feel excluded because you don't know that you simply need to include yourself. You'll see that everybody has already grouped up, and unless you're more outgoing than most, you'll feel alone in a party of 50,000 people.
My best advice, sell your ticket, save up and go next year. 2 days is not long enough to experience burning man, and it's not worth the cost.
If you need to ignore that, go and be as outgoing as you can. ask people what they are going, and ask if you can join them.
