I've heard that while the nights are cold on the playa, the morning sun will turn your tent into a toaster oven well before you want to crawl out of your tent. I've read about shade structures and whatnot, and I'm wondering, especially since I can't sleep at all in heat (I'm used to having my AC on all night), is there something more I can do to keep cool in my tent? I'm thinking maybe when it starts to warm up, I can put ice packs on my sleeping bag or something like that... anyone have any awesome ways of keeping as cool as possible inside your tent?

Click on 'next' picture several times and you can see how he put it together. I cleared out the Target store in Eureka, CA of all the space blanket they had in stock. All 23 packages for a little over $2 each. I scored a quite a bit of bed sheet quality (4' x 1/4 of a roll) of fabric (texture of bed sheets) from the local St Vincent De Paul. Tomorrow I'll put it together then pack it up for the trip on Sunday. -

Sat, August 23, 2008 - 6:59 AMI think the trick is the use of the bed sheet type fabric layer under the space blanket and the generous use of duct tape. He mentioned that you have to cut openings into the fabric/space blanket panels and reinforce it with duct tape for air circulation.
