Well, yes, 'really good job' is certainly not dependent on income alone, or benefits, but so many go without (especially now) that I think it deserves mentioning. Bailing on a job because you don't get the days off you want to go to Burning Man seems pretty short-sighted to me, if you can't afford to find your life without said job.

In a perfect world, picking and choosing would be great.

A lot of people don't have that option. I'm just saying, I'm not going to look down on someone or diminish their experience as if they are nothing more than the Griswolds heading to Wally World if they can't go during times YOU or I find more worthy. I agree that as a virgin the weekend won't do it. I think that's where you're coming from, and with that I agree.

I would rather experience the early days and avoid the burn, myself, but I don't get to pick and choose depending on my work situation. Maybe others only get that time and have to make it work. Rather than discourage them I think making them welcome could be productive.

I'm not a fan of the budweiser boy let's check out naked chics weekend warriors, but she doesn't sound like that to me.
