I am a belly dance newbie--I barely have my learner's permit.
On a whim I decided to create this space last night for local belly dancers and those interested in the Seattle belly dance scene to use. I am not really an active moderator type, either--I just wanted to create the space :-S , in this case, a space on huge music listening website with tons of world music available for it's users.
I would welcome any imput on where else to mention this or how to promote it for people to use...or how to make it more useful.
If any of you are last.fm listeners feel free to join and make something of it. (Note last.fm is currently buggy as they have launched a new Beta version of their site).

Mon, July 28, 2008 - 6:04 PMI just started a thread on local dancers. Waiting to hear back from last.fm support on the specific rules are on adding events--I suspect that "gig" and "festival" must refer to live music and that not live music with dancing is not an event.
I am going to be asking permission of dancers I know of if I can add threads about them--with their websites and videos etc. If you want to be included let me know.
