Is anyone out there in Austin, and if you do, would you consider letting a snake (or several) of yours perform with a visiting dancer for a weekend?
I am planning to be in Austin as part of the Maker Faire on October 18 & 19. We will have a little retro spot with a stage show, and I am usually a "snake charmer" but I live in California and cannot bring my snakes with me on any airline I checked.
I know it's a rather odd request, but I'm kinda stumped. If anyone from the area with sociable snakes would like to help me out, I would be extra grateful!
If you think you might, please write me - if you want to know more first, I'd be happy to answer any other questions. I'm a nice person and take good care of my snakes, but I can totally understand if you'd want to know more before entrusting yours to me :-)
Thanks!!

Re: anyone in or near Ausitn (TX) have a snake or two that might enjoy a littie fame?
Sat, August 9, 2008 - 9:48 AMGood luck with that Tansy. I don't find it all that odd, as I used to use my snakes as educational animals. We would go to all the American schools in our area in Germany and teach children from 1st-6th grades on the beauty, necessity of most snakes and the rarity of some of our licensed snakes.
I can't help you, but go on www.kingsake.com and see if you can find some links to some herp groups in Austin. That might help you out a bit, although will require some internet searching time. -
