All this talk about the 12th house love and such , We tend to think of Venus as love first but often Venus is a lazy , want graditiude and a somewhat self motivated planet whether it be other orientated or not, it comes back to what is mine . So I propose the question what does love have to do with Neptune ? Can optimism and sacrifice be good in a realtionship or even seeing the good or unique potential in your partner inspite of appearances .Love is pretty unknown and many fear crossing over to take that plung into love's rivers-a person can be lost in love or when one becomes a couple they loose certain parts of who they once where. What about spiritual and universal love ?
How many are willing to love the other beyond the dream? Do we love that prson or the potential spouse, who we want to make babies with buy a car with settle down or what not. Are we willing to give it up if our lover doesn't want any of those things to be with the person beyond the planning and dreaming?
Just some fun thoughts thrown out there for Neptune in this tribe of 12th housers of no appologies.
Let's talk amongst ourselves !

12th house neptune here (pisces sun).
You're hitting the nail on the head --bliss lies in love that transcends the illusion of desire. -

Re: Neptune blindsided or selfless
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 4:17 PMBeing pretty self-less and self-centered at the same time..... I tend to reflect back to the birth of Venus to get a better understanding.... Liberated by Saturn from Uranus scrotum falling into the ocean, and foaming up in the Oceans to be born Love....
Love to me is about Giving and Taking... Without trust their is no love....
Beauty is ment to be untamed and everyone should have many loves, and not just one!!! Love is for everyone... even if it is only from themselfs!
Sacrifce is only needed when a relationship is being tested... as humbility avoids you from going through loopholes....

Re: Neptune blindsided or selfless
Sat, August 25, 2007 - 11:58 PMYa know, I felt mercury heavly involved w/ Love, the connection of spoken and non spoken comunication. But for the realy deap non spoken, Yes I give Nept. to this.
One of my understandings of a good relationship, Love of partner Parent/child even close friend, is the ability to just be around each other w/o any goals. going about you daily buisness, but the closeness you both feel w/o any real interaction. The 12th and Nept, feel right for this.
Trust..

Re: Neptune blindsided or selfless
Fri, March 7, 2008 - 3:18 AMwell, in a way, yes, what ever we do is 4 ourselves, neptune & venus is fairly femine i d say, so , yes maybe there is that'what s in it 4 me', but i think that like attracts like, so almost all is solved?
optimism is always good!sacrifice has it s place.
inspitwe of appearances..mmm, if it appears obvious, then obvious it is, no matter how much good there is.
i agree with yr last sentence.

Re: Neptune blindsided or selfless
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 11:17 AMThere's nothing noble or heroic about sacrificing.
After the initial optimism comes the rude awakening, after the illusion wears off like a drug and you realise that sacrificing was just a misguided self-imposed deprivation.
It sucks!
And it hurts terribly.

Re: Neptune blindsided or selfless
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 2:15 AMThe greatest form of love is compassion.
Compassion goes beyond desire, appearance, personality, beyond good or bad even. It goes straight into the soul.
I think that's the real nature of God.
To be able to feel compassion for someone, is to be able to detest that person or that person's actions and to still love their soul. Not always an easy task.
Ofcourse to love that one particular person you want to be romantically involved with is another thing. That's more about love from the heart i guess (apart from all the physical attraction, i need you and i want to have your babies-stuff).
Neptune or Venus or somebody else? I don't know.

perhaps you're confusing sacrifice with trading . . . giving something "away" with an unacknowledged expectation that some form of compensation or reward is going to materialize in return for that "sacrifice. Or maybe I'm misreading.
