Indigenous grandmas nearly kicked out of Vatican
http://www.indiancountry.com/content.cfm?id=1096417739

Photo courtesy Marisol Villanueava -- Thirteen indigenous grandmothers, formally known as the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, initial greeting at the Vatican was not pleasant. The group was almost kicked out while performing a prayer and waiting to speak with Pope Benedict XVI.
ROME - They went to pray. They went to see Pope Benedict XVI on his home turf. They went to ask that he rescind historic church doctrine that played a role in the genocidal onslaught of millions of indigenous people worldwide.

For 13 indigenous grandmothers, accomplishing only one of their three goals wouldn't have been so bad - had they also not been harassed by several Vatican policemen who claimed the women were conducting ''anti-Catholic'' demonstrations.

The elders, formally known as the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, convened in the morning hours of July 9 at St. Peter's Square. After setting up an altar cloth, candles and sacred objects, including feathers and incense, they began holding a prayer and ceremony circle. Nine-year-old Davian Joell Stand-Gilpin, a direct descendant of Chief Dull Knife of the Lakota Nation, was brought along by one of the grandmothers to participate in traditional regalia.

Soon, however, four Vatican police officials asked the women to stop the prayer ceremony, claiming their prayers were in contradiction to the church's teachings - despite the two crosses on the alter cloth and some of the members being practitioners of the Catholic faith.

The officials told Carole Hart, an Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer and filmmaker traveling with the grandmas, that the group was in violation of Vatican policy. They said a permit Hart had obtained in order to document the prayer gathering was only relevant in terms of filming, but did not allow the women to pray, sing or burn incense.

The police said the actions of the grandmothers were ''idolatrous.''

Through the course of obtaining the permit, Hart had written to Vatican officials explaining that the grandmothers would be conducting a prayer ceremony at the site.

''We stuck to the fact that we were legitimately there with this permit,'' Hart said. ''The grandmas did not back down.''

Still, the police urged the grandmothers to move on; but Hart and the group appealed the decision to a higher authority. Finally, the police brought back a law official who assessed the situation. Upon seeing 13 indigenous elder women and hearing one of their songs, the official concluded there was no problem with the ceremony.

The official also ultimately invited the grandmothers to enter St. Peter's Basilica to rest and pray.

Despite their short-term success, the ultimate goal of the grandmothers - to hand-deliver a statement to Pope Benedict XVI, asking him to rescind several controversial papal bulls that played a part in the colonization of indigenous lands - was thwarted.

Documents from the 15th century, such as the papal bulls, show the papacy played a role in the genocidal onslaught that affected millions of indigenous people on the North American continent. In 1455, for instance, Pope Nicolas authorized Portugal ''to invade, search out, capture, vanquish and subdue all Saracens and pagans'' who had previously made their homes in North America.

Just a short time before the grandmothers left for their long-planned journey to Rome, Pope Benedict XVI announced that he would be leaving the Vatican to rest at his summer home, called Castel Gandolfo, in preparation for a trip to Australia.

The pope had originally been scheduled to be in residence July 9. Laura Jackson, the grandmothers' publicist, described the pope's decision to leave the Vatican as a ''sudden cancellation'' and noted that the grandmas held tickets to a scheduled public audience he was to have held that day.

While Castel Gandolfo is less than 20 miles away from the Vatican, the grandmothers ultimately decided not to make the journey to the pope's summer getaway despite some in their inner circle encouraging them to pay an unexpected visit.

Hart believes the grandmothers chose to focus on St. Peter's Square because it's part of the Vatican and is a strong symbol of the pope.

''As women of prayer, I think they felt that bringing their prayer there, on the very ground on which the church as an institution stands, as close as they could get to the heart of the church, would have a great effect on what will happen next,'' Hart said. Additionally, the women had no guarantee that they would even be able to enter the grounds of the pope's summer residence.

Instead, the elders left a package with one of the pope's personal guards at the Vatican. The package contained a written statement the women had sent to the Vatican in 2005 decrying the papal bulls, to which the Vatican never responded. It also contained a new 632-word statement to the pope asking him to repeal three Christian-based doctrines of ''discovery'' and ''conquest'' that set a foundation for claiming lands occupied by indigenous people around the world.

''We carry this message for Pope Benedict XVI, traveling with the spirits of our ancestors,'' the women said in their new message. ''While praying at the Vatican for peace, we are praying for all peoples. We are here at the Vatican, humbly, not as representatives of indigenous nations, but as women of prayer.''

The package was given to the pope's guard via a traditional Lakota manner, by extending it to him three times with him then accepting it on the fourth attempt. The entire process was captured on film, and is expected to be made into a documentary by Hart in the coming year.

It is unknown whether the pope has yet personally received the package, but legal scholars and Native activists in the U.S. have nonetheless been paying close attention to the grandmothers' journey.

''I think the trip is very significant,'' said Steven Newcomb, co-director of the Indigenous Law Institute and author of the book, ''Pagans in the Promised Land: Decoding the Doctrine of Christian Discovery,'' and an Indian Country Today columnist.

''These are women who are very much grounded in their own languages and traditions. They're able to raise visibility of the issue in ways that others are perhaps less effective.''

The grandmothers from the U.S. who sit on the women's council are Margaret Behan, of the Arapaho/Cheyenne of Montana; Agnes Baker Pilgrim, of the Takelma Siletz; and Beatrice Long Visitor Holy Dance and Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance, both Oglala Lakota of Black Hills, S.D.

All of the grandmothers are currently in private council in Assisi, Italy, and are expected to be returning home by early August.

Amazing info here!
www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/...645/pg1

"If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe." Nicola Tesla

Biochemists are using the frequency 528Hz to repair human DNA.
The article stated that it was a "C." When I read that I thought, "
All I would need to do is go to a piano or other instrument and play a "C" and then,
in the DNA workshops we would be able to repair DNA."

Well, it wasn't that simple, because I discovered that the regular "C"
that we all know of in this culture (which is from the diatonic scale of do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do)
was not the 528 Hz frequency "C", as described in the article.

Instead, I discovered that a regular "C" vibrates to a frequency of only 512 Hz,
and that the "C" of 528 Hz used in DNA repair had been a part of an ancient scale
called the Solfeggio Scale.

Moreover, the difference in the scales existed because of different tuning methods
that were utilized in ancient times, vs. those in general use today.
Later, we will explore that difference between how we create music today
vs. how we used to create it, and how that simple change has made all of the difference in the world.

The Six Solfeggio Frequencies include:

UT – 396 Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear
RE – 417 Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
MI – 528 Hz – Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)
FA – 639 Hz – Connecting/Relationships
SOL – 741 Hz – Awakening Intuition
LA – 852 Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order

For example, the third note, frequency 528, relates to the note MI on the scale
and derives from the phrase "MI-ra gestorum" in Latin meaning "miracle."
Stunningly, this is the exact frequency used by genetic biochemists to repair broken DNA
– the genetic blueprint upon which life is based!

A Little History

At the turn of the century the awareness of DNA entered the collective consciousness of the world.
We have incarnated into this human experience as divine beings with a blueprint,
a set of instructions.
We know that a very small percentage (3%) of those instructions make up our physiology.

Carl Sagan writes that most of our genetic information (about 97%) is unused DNA.
He refers to this as "genetic gibberish."
Is it possible that most of who we are still lies dormant as our human potential?

In the old paradigm of religion, "potential" remained a mystery to the human mind,
therefore we coined a mystical term called "SPIRIT."
"Spirit" was something that was detached from who we were,
something we didn't have and could only be gained through the systems of most religions.

The study of wave phenomena, the ability of sound to organize and repattern matter, is called Cymatics.
According to John Beaulieu, in Music and Sound in the Healing Arts,
"Form is the more elusive component of sound.
Sound-forms can be seen by subjecting mediums such as sand, water,
or clay to a continuous sound vibration."

The following pictures taken by Dr. Hans Jenny are sound-forms.
They were obtained by placing various mediums on a steel plate
with a crystal sound oscillator attached to the bottom.

The Oscillator creates a pulse, which vibrates the steel plate.
The forms on the plate are examples of sound organizing matter."

Jenny also "noticed that when the vowels of ancient languages like Hebrew
and Sanskrit were pronounced, the sand took the shape of the written symbols for those vowels.
"Modern languages, including English, failed to generate those patterns."

How Did The Solfeggio Frequencies Get Lost?

I discovered that these powerful frequencies had been given to the church
many years ago for a very spiritual purpose.
This was back when the church was a wonderful place for the people in the villages to gather together.
The church served as a social, political, and spiritual place.
People came to Mass, which at that time, was done in Latin (until Vatican II came along).

When people sing in Latin or musical tones, it is very powerful,
because it gets through all of the limited thought forms,
and into deeper levels of the subconscious – accessing insights beyond belief systems.

As described above by Dr. Candice Pert, PhD, energy and vibration go all the way to the molecular level.
She states that we have 70 different receptors on the molecules
and when vibration and frequency reaches that far they begin to vibrate.

Moreover, she observed, "as they begin to vibrate they sort of touch each other,
and tickle each other, and they play and mount each other."

It's this whole energetic dance ritual, at the cellular level,
that opens the chromosomes and exposes the DNA to the frequencies.
When we do toning, drumming, chanting, or tuning forks
– it can be a way to direct energy for transformational purposes.

According to Professor Willi Apel,1 "The orgin of what is now called Solfeggio...
arose from a Mediaeval hymn to John the Baptist which has this peculiarity
that the first six lines of the music commenced respectively
on the first six successive notes of the scale,
and thus the first syllable of each line was sung to a note one degree higher
that the first syllable of the line that preceded it.

By degrees these syllables became associated
and identified with their respective notes and as each syllable ended in a vowel,
they were found to be peculiatly adapted for vocal use.

Hence "Ut" was artificially replaced by "Do."
Guido of Arezzo was the first to adopt them in the 11th century, and Le Marie,
a French musician of the 17th century added "Si" for the seventh note of the scale,
in order to complete the series."

Further research states that, "Pope Johannes later became a saint
- Saint Iohannes - and then the scale was changed.

The seventh note "Si" was added from his name. "Si" later became "Ti."
These changes significantly altered the frequencies sung by the masses.

The alterations also weakened the spiritual impact of the Church's hymns.
Because the music held mathmatic resonance,
frequencies capable of spiritually inspiring mankind to be more "Godlike,"
the changes affected alterations in conceptual thought as well, further distancing humanity from God.

" In other words, whenever you sing a Psalm, it is music to the ears.
But it was originally intended to be music for the soul as well or the "secret ear."
Thus by changing the notes, high matrices of thought and to a great extent well being, was squelched.
Now it is time to recover these missing notes."

I'd heard of do, re, me, fa, so, la, ti, do.
I particularly responded to it whenever I hear that song by Julie Andrews from "The Sound of Music."
I literally have a "brain cell firing" as it is engraved into my brain,
and I see her coming over the mountain in the movie.
I didn't realize this was actually a second, modified scale.
The original Solfeggio scale was actually: UT, RE, MI, FA, SO, LA.

Looking at the definitions of each of the original syllables,
using hidden entries from Webster's Dictionary and the Original Greek Apocrypha,
I have determined that these original frequencies can be used for:

Turning grief to joy,
helping the person connect with their Source to bring forth miracles,
DNA repair,
connecting with spiritual family,
solving situations & becoming more intuitive,
and, finally, returning to spiritual order.

2 Through music these tones can assist all the channels in staying open
and keep the life force (the Chi) literally flowing thru the Chakra System quite freely.

Is this is what the six electro-magnetic frequencies were to accomplish
that were put into "lost" hymns and Gregorian chants?
The Solfeggio Scale and note names;
1. UT...396 Hz (Center Pillar of the Tree)
2. RE...417 Hz (Left Pillar of the Tree)
3. MI...528 Hz (Right Pillar of the Tree)
4. FA...639 Hz (Center Pillar of the Tree)
5. SOL..741 Hz (Left Pillar of the Tree)
6. LA...852 Hz (Right Pillar of the Tree)

The first note, "UT quent laxis," is defined in Webster's Dictionary as
"the Gamut of dramatic emotion from grief to joy,"
and "the whole series of recognized musical notes."

It has a frequency of 396 cycles per second,
and is also associated with a "magnetic field strength equal to 105 power gauss," or 100,000.

The second tone, "RE" - short for "resonare fibris" or resonance - also correlates mathematically to 144,000.
MY POEM about the Holy Grail, and Song of Songs - linked to the 144,000 : )

In truth hearts are fragile like beautiful glass, so beware..
For singing crystal serves as Song of Songs, to our ear
a holy, clear lovesong, that only an open mind can hear
the quest for answers drives us to search beyond our fears

beat by beat our heart fights to brake free from the old chains
light & love shows you The Meaning - it flows through our veins

CHRYSTAL HEARTS

hollowed out and forged by a Master
moulded to agile creation
prepared to be filled
with holy water
from the storm of the deep sea
in constant contact with our source
connected, touching the bells of destiny

our hearts will brake
when held by carelessness hands
for we are made to be cultivated
and filled with the essence of love
and the wounds cut by shards
must be glued with tenderness

set your table for a festive occasion
and celebrate each day with value
for the word of God
which says life is precious –
are always for real...

so let us share our moments,
CHEERS! Gently, and with caution...
~ The Prophecy about he 144,000 ~

In the "christian" prophecy...

From:
144000.net/144000.htm

Who are the 144000 chosen?

It was written by the mercy of God and announced by John the prophet,
that in the plentitude of the Sixth Seal, the chosen of the Lord would be marked.

//

Your presence before this manifestation has not been by chance. My voice summoned you along the pathways and guided you here. Now you know that you have come to recognize the mission that you have to fulfill on Earth. In My word you have learned what is your beginning and what is your ending. You have had the revelation that you are a part of the people who have received the manna of the spirit during three eras.

The 144,000 are the marked ones in this Third Era. A legion of spirits, a group that My charity has designated and selected in all Eras to assign them a special mission, a responsibility before the others.

Many have been chosen, but others, along the journey of their own existence, will be taken by surprise and to them will be revealed, either by My Divine Spirit or through you; that they belong to the 144,000 and the sign that I shall give you that the number is complete, will cause a great commotion in your planet. That commotion, that event, will not be long in coming.

Woe! Woe betide the Universe in that instant, verily the Father says to you, because with it I will let Mankind know that something supernatural is happening; that there is something far beyond the elements, the will of man, taking place. The greater part of Humanity, fearful, will enter into prayer and repentance.

Where are those 144,000? Elijah is reuniting them, without it being an obstacle that some are in spirit, and others are incarnated. All will be united spiritually in this Divine Work.

You will be witnesses of great events, many of which will surprise you, but I will enlighten you with My lessons, so that you will never be confused. Study My word, for it will inspire love toward your Father and your brethren. It is not necessary for you to belong to the 144,000, to be able to serve the Father or be named disciples of the Master. Those who form a part of this number, are just the ones who will open the way and be as guardians of My Work.

//

144,000 (0ne hundred and forty-four thousand) incarnated and discarnated spirits will open the way during this period. They will be forerunners, prophets, and messengers. They are the ones marked by Me to go before the multitudes.

... // " They will be warriors of peace, teachers within My wisdom, doctors for all illnesses; comforters and prophets.

To extend My work in this Third Era, I have come to choose from among the great multitudes, 144,000 spirits, placing upon them a mark with a kiss of Divine light, not a kiss of betrayal, nor a seal of some pact that places your spirit in danger.

My mark is the sign that the Holy Spirit deposits in His chosen ones to fulfill a great mission in this Third Era. He who possesses this seal is not exempt from dangers; on the contrary, he is more tempted and more tested than the others are.

Remember each one of the twelve chosen by Me in that Second Era and you will confirm what I am telling you. Among those there were moments of doubts, of weakness, of confusion, and there was even one who betrayed Me handing Me over to My executioners with a kiss.

The mark means mission, charges, and responsibility before God. It is not a guarantee against the temptations or the illnesses; if it were so, what merits would there be in My chosen ones? What effort would your spirit make to remain faithful to My word?

The mark is the invisible sign through which his mission can be accomplished by the one who carries it with love, with respect, with zeal, and with humility; then he can confirm that the mark is a Divine grace that makes him superior to pain, that illuminates him in the great trials, that reveals to him profound knowledge and makes a breach anywhere so that the spirit may pass through.

The mark is like a link that unites it with who possesses it, by which the thought and the word of the spiritual world can manifest itself in your world; so I say to you that a marked one is a messenger, an envoy, and is My instrument.

Great is the mission as well as the responsibility within My work of the marked one, but he is not alone in his pathway. By his side always goes the angel protector who looks after him, guides him, inspires him, and fortifies him.

How strong has been the one who has known how to embrace his cross with love, and how harsh and bitter has been the pathway for the chosen one who has not been able to carry with him the Divine seal of a chosen one in the Third Era.

I say to you who hear Me, that you should learn to keep vigil and to pray, to carry your cross with love and to practice with uprightness and obedience, so that this life, which has meant for your spirit his most luminous reincarnation, would not be sterile and later on has to weep the lost time and the wasted gifts.

All of you meditate on this lesson, the marked ones or the unmarked, because all of you have within My work a destiny to fulfill.

===========================================

Hopi Prophecy

144 000 Sun Dance enlightened teachers will totally awaken in their mind bodies.
They will begin to meet in their own winged serpent wheels
and become a major force of the light to help the rest of humanity to dance their dream awake.

A Sun Dance teacher is any human being who has awakened,
who has balanced, their shields, who has gained the dream mind body
and who honours all paths, all teachers and all ways."

From the book "A Hopi Prophecy"
Acorn Publishing, Glastonbury P 24

So just keep "Dancing with the Sun"!

The Hopi say that the Sacred Symbols will be newly understood as the time of Purification comes.

"When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying. A new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. They will be known as the "Warriors of the Rainbow".
-Old native American prophecy

======================

Blavatsky's, "Isis Unveiled." I happened to open the book to a page that spoke of God's Signet Ring. She said it was a Tetragrammation, the four letters of the Divine Name, and symbolized by the Tau Cross. It is the mark on the forehead given to the 144,000 thousand in Revelation 7. Rev. 14:1 says they have "his FATHER'S NAME written on their foreheads."

From this and other hints, I believe that mankind is not guilty or condemned, as they say, and will be the hero when the truth finally comes. Babylon, or the seed of Babylon, seems quite negative, suggesting intollerance, division, conflict, and violence, yet these verses suggest the seed of Babylon leads to a very positive outcome.

The "cold" or "winter" season and a change in it are also suggested in the Song of Solomon, verses 2:11, 12 - "for lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land."

Your dream suggests that it can also be "too hot." I doubt that this means "too much love," as in my interpretation above. My guess is that it refers to too much "passion," in the sense of feeling so strongly about something you would kill for it. I see a similar symbolism and meaning in many ways. Human beings tend to have a strong desire for justice and righteousness on the one hand, and a loving, forgiving side on the other. I see it in such things as - Old Testament/New Testament, Conservative/Liberal, Republican/Democrat, prosecuting attorney/defense attorney, Capitalism/Communism, etc. It is also part of the meaning of The Tree of Life, in regard to the left and right columns. (5) The middle column shows a balanced condition.

There are many indications that mankind has been out of balance, and that the "male-rational" side has been dominant in the time cycle. There are many signs that the "feminine-intuitive" side will increase, so that mankind will become "balanced." One example is the crop formation that appeared at Tweksbury in 1992. It had the male/female signs of Mars and Venus joined together.

FROM: The Greatest Prophecy
www.greatdreams.com/greatest.htm

"Standing on Mount Zion in Jerusalem,
and with Him were 144,000 who had His Name and His Father's Name written on their foreheads.
And I heard a sound from heaven like the roaring of a great waterfall or the rolling of mighty thunder.
It was the singing of a choir accompanied by harps.

This tremendous choir — 144,000 strong —
sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God
and before the four Living Beings and the twenty-four Elders;
and no one could sing this song except those 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

For they are spiritually undefiled, pure as virgins, following the Lamb wherever He goes."

========================

THE HOPI PROPHECY AGAIN:

" // The transformed elder brother, the True White Brother, will wear a red cloak or a red cap, similar to the pattern on the back of a horned toad. He will bring no religion but his own, and will bring with him the Tiponi tablets. He will be all-powerful; none will be able to stand against him. He will come swiftly, and in one day gain control of this entire continent. It is said, "If he comes from the East, the destruction will not be so bad. But if he comes from the West, do not get up on your housetops to see because he will have no mercy."

The True White Brother will bring with him two great, intelligent and powerful helpers, one of whom will have a sign of a swastika (a masculine symbol of purity), and the sign of the sun. The second great helper will have the sign of a celtic cross with red lines (representing female life blood) between the arms of the cross.

When the Great Purification is near, these helpers will shake the earth first for a short time in preparation. After they shake the earth two times more, they will be joined by the True White Brother, who will become one with them and bring the Purification Day to the world. All three will help the "younger brother" (the Hopi and other pure-hearted people) to make a better world. In the prophecies, the two helpers are designated by the Hopi word for "population," as if they were large groups of people. .." //

www.crystalinks.com/hopi2.html

''So, as our prophecy says, it must be up to the people with good pure hearts that will not be afraid to help us to fulfill our destiny in peace for this world.''

====================

" // The number 144,000 is especially significant for it is the
multiplier effect of the twelve. The number twelve has
always been one of the most significant numbers known to the
earth inhabitants. You have twelve months in the year, there
are twelve zodiacal signs and twelve houses which represent
the twelve aspects of the human personality. The pyramid's
multiplier of the three sides of each wall of the triangle
times the four sides of the base of its structure also
contains one of the mysteries of the All. Then, there is the
significance of the selection of the twelve apostles that
Jesus chose to continue His work on the earth plane, after
His ascension.

It is this latter example that I will focus the remainder of
my instruction today, continuing on with the lesson of
empowerment to the 144,000. Each of the apostles was
selected because he represented one aspect of the human
psyche that needed to be developed to reach enlightenment.
In order to be one with the spirit, one needs to be in tune
with all twelve sides of the personality that strives to
become united with God. Peter was the builder, Matthew was
the singer of the songs through his messages, Thomas was the
doubter, etc. Even Judas played an important role, for if he
had not fulfilled the prophesy and betrayed Jesus, the
scriptures could not have been fulfilled.

The 144,000 Spiritual Warriors who are emerging on the
beloved earth today are each representative of one of those
Apostles' primary energy fields. The multiplier effect of
12 x 12,000 brings the number to 144,000. That does not mean
that each soul can only develop 1/12 of the totality of
understanding to reach enlightenment themselves. What it
does mean is that instead of 12 separate souls doing the work
on the planet, there are now 12,000 souls in each of the
categories that are emerging to fulfill the scriptures in
this passage of time. Therefore, the original work of the
Great Masters is still unfolding in this drama of time and
space that you know in this third dimension of existence.

They are labeled the Rainbow Warriors, for it is they who
will bring the secrets of the Light energy to the masses upon
the planet. And it is only this information that will
provide the foundation for the rebirth to be perfect.
Nothing in this universe is sustained without Light. Nothing
that is known to the earth is manifested without the mastery
of the spectrum of colors and the vibration of the sound. It
is this information that is once again being revealed to the
souls, so that they may usher in the cries of the infant who
is awaiting the Baptism into the Spirit. For the Spirit is
one with the Light and all is in the Oneness of God."//
Greetings and celebrations and letting go on this Solstice Day. the day of the year with the longest period of sun light so that it appears that the sun (sol) stands still (sistit).

A day then the creatiave life forces are the stongest. A day of letting go and re-newal.

There is also at noon today, June 21, a Time Shift in the Galactic Mayan Calendar (from Judith Moore in New Mexico)

A Note going out from the Great Central Sun creating a sound harmonic that will shift the Earth into a new dimension.

One overtone aligning all the galactic suns, solar codes and the One Harmonic Source.

A perfect time for us to join with this tone - a communion of souls on Earth - so that the wave of a tone moves across the planet iand simultaneously joins with the Overtone from the Great Central Sun.

So whether you happen to get this before noon or after or even the next day... you can intend No Time... or the fluidity of time... and see yourself Joining in this planetary and galactic tone at noon on solstice - merging your heart with the heart of humanity and all life -
I imagine the the rocks and trees and animals know this within themselves and connect - hehhee as if they were not alreacy connected, silly me. :-)

some moments of stillness (sistit), feeling your breath, feeling the beating of your heart, feeling the earth and trees and waters, sensing your feet and toes feeling the floor and sensing the air that is touching your body, breathing in as if you are breathing in thru all of our skin - face and neck and back - fingers, between the fingers, ankles, toes and between your toes, the top of your head and feeling as if you are breathing in thru your heart center and out then through your back and this breath several times of breathing in and out thru every surface of skin on your body.. at one with the breath and heart beat of Gaia.
and then perhaps a sound, or a tone - a laugh or a sigh or a cry - an expression of of your uniqueness merging with every other heart and breath on the earth and with the heart and breath and tone from the Great Central Sun, thru our sun to each of us on this day - each one of us drinking the same Solar light and energy and re-newal.

and so it is, beloveds...

I RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE FROM A FRIEND

Dear Friends,

The summer solstice is very powerful and I will be joining this experience with the 13 grandmothers at noon. My guidance is to play the 6 solfuggio tones if you have the recording and become the 7th tone at noon. Since they are 12 minutes each, you would have to start listening at 11 am. Also look at the 5 or 6 crop circles at the link included. Great explanations of the energy we are all receiving. The last crop circle includes a chant you can do on Saturday if it feels right. Please share it with others if you are so guided. Blessings to you all.

In Lak'ech

in New Mexico (http://www.cropcirclesrevealed.com/) received information about June 21st at noon in your area being the Time Shift in the Galactic Mayan Calendar. She was told by the 13 grandmothers that a note would go out creating the sound harmonic that would shift the Earth into the new dimnsion on that day.

The energies for June 21 by my count are 5 CHUEN 15 MOAN. CHUEN is the monkey and humor so keep it light and enjoy the experience as you participate to become the tone which raises your frequencies to match the new tone.

She received information that the Time Shift spoken of in the Galactic Mayan calender will happen on June 21st, 2008 when the harmonic overtone is created. One overtone aligns all the galactic suns, solar codes and the One Harmonic of Source. There is an essential need for one vibration on this planet to be attuned through the consciousness of the lightbodies that have reached a capacity for harmonic union. Through this communion of souls Earth will be lifted beyond the risk of exceeding her limits to stabilize. There must be one harmonic overtone generated from the masses of Awakened Beings.

This one harmonic overtone must be calibrated in a wave that moves across the planet to create one tone at noon June 21st 2008. One overtone must be created simultaneously to the opening of a solar code from the Great Central Sun. That solar code creates a new language pattern of quantum mechanics, quantum energy planes. The tone must be communicated through the Galactic Grail Unified field in harmonic overtone. This tone will be communicated through superconsciousness to six billion humans on the planet creating a wave form that accelerates the space/time continuum of Earth.' ( by permission Judith Moore )

My request is for the lightworkers of the Earth to unite our hearts at noon on June 21st 2008 with the intention of shifting Gaia into her New Form of Love, Oneness, Peace and Harmony.

Feel free to use sound, prayer, visualization as your heart calls.Just go into stillness, into your heart and you will hear the note that unites us all in the One Love. If possible organize groups to meet at that time to amplify the energy.

Please pass this on to as many people as possible .
JUNE 20-21 SET FOR 2008 NATIONAL SACRED PLACES PRAYER DAYS

Observances and ceremonies will be held across the country on June 20 and 21 to mark the 2008 National Days of Prayer to Protect Native American Sacred Places. Times and places for public commemorations are listed in the following pages. Some of the gatherings highlighted in this release are educational forums, not religious ceremonies, and are open to the general public. Others are ceremonial and may be conducted in private. In addition to those listed below, there will be commemorations and prayers offered at sacred places that are under threat at this time.

“Native and non-Native people nationwide gather at this time for Solstice ceremonies. We honor sacred places, with a special emphasis on the need for Congress to build a door to the courts for Native nations to protect our churches,” said Suzan Shown Harjo (Cheyenne & Hodulgee Muscogee). She is President of The Morning Star Institute, which organizes the National Sacred Places Prayer Days. This will be the sixth of the National Prayer Days to Protect Native American Sacred Places. The observance in Washington, D.C., will be held on June 20 at 8:00 a.m. on the United States Capitol Grounds, West Front Grassy Area (see details under the Washington, D.C. listing below). The first National Prayer Day was conducted on June 20, 2003, on the U.S. Capitol West Lawn and nationwide to emphasize the need for Congress to enact a cause of action to protect Native sacred places. That need still exists.

“Many Native American sacred places are being damaged because Native nations do not have equal access under the First Amendment to defend them,” said Ms. Harjo. “All other people in the United States have the First Amendment to protect their churches. Only traditional Native Americans cannot get into the courthouse through the Freedom of Religion Clauses. That simply must change as a matter of fairness and equity. Native nations today have to cobble together protections based on defenses intended for other purposes. Those may permit lawsuits, but they do not provide a place at the table when development is being contemplated, and there is no guarantee that a lawsuit won’t be tossed out by the Supreme Court for lack of a tailor-made cause of action.”

The Supreme Court told Congress in 1988 that it had to enact a statutory right of action, if it wanted to protect Native sacred places. “Twenty years have passed without Congress creating that door to the courthouse for Native Americans,” said Ms. Harjo, “and some of these places cannot withstand many more years of legal and physical onslaughts.

“Native and non-Native people are gathering, again, to call on anyone who will listen to help protect these national treasures and to do something about this national disgrace that threatens them.”

Alabama: Wetumpka – Hickory Ground Ceremonial Ground

Traditional religious leaders of Oce Vbofv Cuko Rakko (Hickory Ground Ceremonial Ground) are continuing their work to negotiate for the protection of their pre-removal lands near Wetumpka, Alabama, and the dozens of human remains which have been disinterred without their consent. Although summer requires their attention to be focused on annual ceremonies to close the old year and start the new year, they have been able to find time to travel from Oklahoma to Wetumpka, Alabama, and participate in the negotiation sessions.

As other Muscogee people gather for ceremonies, the tragic case of the Hickory Ground site is discussed in wider and wider circles. Absent from the southeast for 170 years, and separated by 800 miles, many traditional people in Oklahoma were unaware of the destruction of sacred places and the looting of burials in their ancient homelands.

But discussions have also spread into the Christian community about the documented reports of complete disrespect for human remains and burials, and a growing consensus between the major Muscogee religious communities is that Muscogee common law regards a burial as a permanent resting place for the dead, to remain undisturbed.

The Inter-Tribal Sacred Land Trust is working to promote the protection of sacred sites throughout the southeastern United States, and to develop model policies and procedures, which could have applications across the nation. Contact www.itslt.org for more information.

Arizona: San Francisco Peaks

The San Francisco Peaks (Nuvatukaovi, Doko’oo’sliid) are sacred to Apache, Hopi, Hualapai, Navajo, Yavapai and other Native nations. The San Francisco Peaks are home to many sacred beings, medicine places and origin sites. Myriad ceremonies are conducted there for healing, well being, balance, commemoration, passages and the world’s water and life cycles.

The U.S. Forest Service and private business plan to expand the Snowbowl ski resort and to use recycled sewage to make artificial snow.

These plans could have a disastrous impact on the Native religions and people and on the water and health of the entire region. The creeping recreational development has concerned Native spiritual leaders and tribal officials for decades, but current plans far exceed the past activity at the resort. The area is within the Coconino National Forest.

Native nations are attempting to protect the San Francisco Peaks in court. The District Court ruled for the development in January 2006. In March 2007, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the lower court’s decision and ruled for the Hopi Tribe, Navajo Nation and others.

Setting new precedent for the protection of Native American sacred places, a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit ruled that the Forest Service violated the Religious Freedom Restoration Act and the National Environmental Policy Act in allowing the Snowbowl Resort to expand over 100 acres of rare alpine ecosystem, part of the area which is sacred to Native Peoples.

The federal government challenged that decision and petitioned the Ninth Circuit for rehearing en banc. Such petitions are rarely granted, but the Court granted the petition. The case was argued in front of the 11-judge en banc panel of the Ninth Circuit in Pasadena in December 2007.

To date, the Ninth Circuit has not issued the decision of the en banc panel.

Ceremonies and gatherings for Solstice prayer will take place on June 21 at the San Francisco Peaks. For more information and updates, contact Save the Peaks Coalition at http://www.savethepeaks.org.

California: Needles – June 20, Sunrise

The Ft. Mojave Indian Tribe remains in emergency need of support to protect the Maze and surrounding sacred site areas along the Lower Colorado River. The Maze is both a physical manifestation and a spiritual pathway for the afterlife. It has always been, and will always be, an integral and significant part of the Mojave way of life, beliefs, traditions, culture and religion. The Mojave will observe the Prayer Day in Needles at the Maze property, on June 20, and pray for continued guidance, preservation and national support to defend this sacred area.

Pacific Gas & Electric, by its ownership and operation of the Topock Natural Gas Compressor Station near Needles, California over the last 50 years, has polluted the groundwater under and around the Maze with hexavalent chromium, a toxic chemical that can cause numerous human and environmental health problems. PG&E, BLM and California Department of Toxic Substances Control proceeded with Interim Measures to contain and investigate the contamination, which included the construction of a new Treatment Plant within the Maze area and the drilling of many new wells in California and Arizona, on either side of the Colorado River. These, taken together, create continuing cumulative adverse impacts to the sacred landscape and tribal beliefs.

In 2005, Ft. Mojave filed a lawsuit seeking the removal of the plant, total restoration of the sacred area, an environmental baseline of prior to the plant's construction and any other actions that could serve to remedy the desecration. Settlement negotiations concluded in November 2006 aimed to achieve each of these goals and secure other remedies including repatriation of the sacred area to tribal ownership, sensitivity training for PG&E employees and contractors, a written public apology and reimbursement of past and future tribal costs.

Even though settlement was achieved, deep prayer is needed to ask for further understanding by PG&E and the agencies, particularly the BLM, as to the nature of this traditional cultural landscape and that they should not be afraid to acknowledge it as such during investigations, selection and implementation of the Final Remedy. Prayer is also needed to ask for forgiveness for any continuing desecration that may occur until the offending facilities are actually removed and that a Final Remedy is selected soon that respects the sacred nature of this area.

This issue is national in scope: the Maze has been officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978 and is formally recognized as nationally significant. Moreover, the failure of state and federal agencies to consider direct and indirect impacts to Native sacred places during pollution remediation activities remains a national problem requiring congressional oversight.
Colorado: Boulder - Native American Rights Fund, Friday, June 20, at 6:00 a.m.

The National Day of Prayer to Protect Native American Sacred Places is being observed at the Native American Rights Fund on Friday, June 20, 2008.

The public is welcome to a sunrise ceremony that will be held on NARF's front lawn beginning at 6:00 a.m. The program is expected to last for one hour with a prayer ceremony, speakers and a moment of silence to show concern for the sacred places that are being damaged and destroyed today.

The Native American Rights Fund is headquartered at 1506 Broadway in Boulder, Colorado. NARF extends an open invitation to its program and requests that participants bring a chair or a blanket to the front lawn and to bring food and/or beverages to share at the completion of the program.

As part of its mission, the Native American Rights Fund advocates for sacred site protection, religious freedom efforts and cultural rights. NARF attorneys and staff participate in local and national

gatherings and discussions about how to protect lands that are sacred and precious to Native Americans.

The Native American Rights Fund utilizes its resources to protect First Amendment rights of Native American religious leaders, prisoners and members of the Native American Church, and to assert tribal rights to cultural property and human remains, in compliance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

Why should holy places be protected? How well do existing laws and federal agency regulations protect Native American places of worship? These and other questions will be addressed by NARF attorneys Steve Moore and Walter Echo-Hawk (Pawnee), who are active in the Medicine Wheel National Historic Landmark, The Devil's Tower, the Spirit Cave case, Kennewick Man case and the work of the Sacred Lands Protection Coalition, of which the Native American Rights Fund is a member. NARF also represents the Working Group on Native American Culturally Unidentified Human Remains.

The Native American Rights Fund is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist American Indians, individuals and organizations in the legal representation and interpretation of federal Indian law. NARF is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, with offices in Washington, D.C., and Anchorage, Alaska.
Kansas: Lawrence - Wakarusa Wetlands, Saturday, June 21, at Sunrise

(Storm date, in case of severe weather: Sunday, June 22, at Sunrise)

Save the Wakarusa Wetlands will observe National Prayer Day at Sunrise on Saturday, June 21, in the Wakarusa Wetlands south of Lawrence, Kansas. Save the Wakarusa Wetlands, Inc., is an association of Lawrence-based Haskell Indian Nations University alumni, students and community supporters. In case of lightning strikes, funnel clouds or other severe weather, the observation will take place on Sunday, June 22, at Sunrise.

The ceremony will be led by Mike Smith (Dine/Navajo) and is open to all who wish to add their prayers to save this sacred place from the highway builders. Jeremy Shield (Crow) will again sing a song to greet the sun. This year we will make special efforts to honor the return of otters to this place after an absence of more than a century!

Participants will ask for the protection of the Wakarusa Wetlands (aka, Haskell-Baker Wetlands), threatened by an eight-lane highway project approved by the Army Corps of Engineers, but delayed by state budget constraints.

After years of claiming the trafficway had been "de-federalized," in an attempt to render federal laws protecting Native sites inapplicable, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is back in the game. It recently announced its intent to adopt an outdated and severely flawed Corps of Engineers Environmental Impact Statement in order to expedite federal funds for the beleaguered project.

The announcement of a draft decision finally came last November and, as expected, FHWA went along with the state's plan to pave the Wetlands. A lawsuit is contemplated in response to the FHWA release of the formal "Record of Decision-ROD.” There is no money in the current state budget to construct the trafficway, but a new five-year highway plan will be debated in the Kansas legislature next year.

This sacred place is the last significant trace of the original Wakarusa Bottoms, an 18,000-acre prairie wetland environment that existed for thousands of years before whites drained and dammed the wetlands, which supplied Native peoples of the region with valuable medicines and important ceremonial items.

Elders have said the Creator caused the course of the Wakarusa River to go directly east toward the rising sun, in sharp contrast to the other rivers in the region, as a sign of sacred healing plants and herbs to be gathered there.

About 600 acres of the Wakarusa Wetlands was located directly south of the dorms at Haskell Institute. This last major remnant of the Wetlands was a crucial refuge where Native students from all across the country survived government efforts to exterminate their cultures in off-reservation boarding schools.

There, in the Wakarusa Wetlands refuge, young Indians from Maine to California sang forbidden songs, performed dances that were federally punishable with jail time and refused to let the authorities "kill the Indian" in them.

Parents and other tribal leaders camped, often for weeks, beside these Wetlands on the bank of the Wakarusa, awaiting permission from school officials to retrieve or at least visit their children. These elders used the Wetlands as an outdoor classroom to pass on final lessons about healing and other traditional knowledge.

Despite efforts to drain the Wetlands in the early twentieth century, and Haskell's loss of this property during the Eisenhower termination era, the Wakarusa Wetlands, like Haskell Indian Nations University itself, has survived and flourished. The entire historic Haskell campus, including the Wetlands, is being considered for designation as a National Historic Heritage area.

New Mexico: Mount Taylor

Mount Taylor is sacred to pueblos and tribes throughout the Southwest. The Acoma, Laguna and Zuni Pueblos, the Hopi Tribe and the Navajo Nation are actively seeking protections for Mount Taylor. They are concerned that the renewed uranium rush in the area will threaten the sacred mountain.

Mount Taylor, a lush forested mesa, is an ancient volcano west of Albuquerque, New Mexico, near Acoma and Laguna Pueblos and the town of Grants. At 11,301 feet, it is the highest point of the Cibola National Forest and the San Mateo Mountains.

An origin, worship and pilgrimage site, Mount Taylor is home to many sacred beings, waters and shrines. It also is a vital religious and subsistence hunting and gathering place.

On June 14, the New Mexico Cultural Properties Review Committee took emergency action to protect Mount Taylor from potential uranium mining for one year by designating it as a traditional cultural property.

The designation was proposed by the five pueblos and tribes, and the committee voted four to two to list 422,840 acres (660 square miles) of Mount Taylor on the state’s Register of Cultural Properties.

The designation lasts for one year, during which the committee will decide if Mount Taylor will have a permanent listing as a traditional cultural property. The TCP listing will not prevent mining or other development, but will halt expedited mining permits and will give the pueblos and tribes a voice in the permitting process when development is being considered.

Later this year, the Pueblo Cultural Center Museum will host an educational forum on the millennial history of the Pueblos and Tribes with Mount Taylor.
New York: Ganondagan State Historic Site, Friday, June 20, 11:45 a.m. to Mid-day

At Ganondagan State Historic Site in New York, there will be a Gahnonyoh (Thanksgiving), starting at 11:45 a.m. and ending at Mid-day, on Friday, June 20, under the Tree of Peace on Boughton Hill to protect sacred places and to promote world peace. “We invite spiritual leaders and the general public to join us on that day as we offer words of Thanksgiving or Gahnonyoh in Seneca,” says G. Peter Jemison (Seneca), who is the Caretaker of Ganondagan.

Ganondagan is the site of the seventeenth century town, once the capitol of the Seneca Nation, which was destroyed by the French in 1687. Today, it is the only historic site in New York dedicated to a Native American theme. Ganondagan is sacred to the Seneca People because nearby are the remains of Jikonhsaseh the Mother of Nations, who was the first person to accept the message of Peace brought by the Peacemaker, who united the Haudenosaunee or Five Nations: Seneca Nation, Cayuga Nation, Onondaga Nation, Oneida Nation and Mohawk Nation.
South Dakota: Bear Butte State Park, Saturday, June 21, Noon-4:00 p.m.

The public is invited to a gathering to honor Bear Butte on June 21, Saturday, from Noon to 4:00 p.m., on the National Day of Prayer to Protect Native American Sacred Places. The gathering coincides with World Peace & Prayer Day events at sacred sites across the continents of the world. All are invited to honor sacred places and to pray for peace and healing.

The gathering will take place at the Bear Butte State Park in the picnic area next to main parking lot. All are invited to share a community potluck and should feel free to bring a dish.

Bear Butte is sacred to more than 50 Native Nations, including the Cheyenne, Lakota and Arapaho Peoples, who own small sections of Bear Butte lands. Bear Butte is Nowawus/Noahvose (Holy Mountain) to the Cheyenne Peoples and Mato Paha (Bear Mountain) in the Lakota language. It has been used for thousands of years as a religious and commemorative place for vision quests, ceremonies of passage and renewal, pilgrimages, spiritual offerings and medicine gatherings.

The sacred mountain has been designated as Bear Butte State Park since 1961. Located in western South Dakota near the border with Wyoming, it rises from the Plains and overlooks the Black Hills and Bear Medicine Lodge (wrongfully called Devil’s Tower). Bear Butte was listed as a National Natural Landmark in 1965, as a National Historical Place in 1973 and as a National Historical Landmark in 1981. Bear Butte has been on the National Historic Landmarks threat level watch list since 2004.

The gathering at Bear Butte is being organized by Protect Sacred Sites, which urges all to sign a petition at www.ProtectBearButte.com to address a current threat to Bear Butte in a pending liquor license proceeding in Meade County, South Dakota. Meade County Commissioners will conduct a hearing on July 1, 2008, and are expected to make a final decision at that time. Protect Sacred Sites explains the threat this way:

“Bear Butte is a sacred mountain located eight miles east of Sturgis, South Dakota. Instead of praying in peace, traditional people are forced to pray with loud music from bars, motorcycle noise, flashing strobe lights over the mountain, and intoxicated campers nearby. Blatant disregard for the spiritual beliefs and ceremonies of Native People and the sacredness of this mountain is evidenced by the increased presence of bars, clubs, strobe lights, campgrounds that sell alcohol and a proposed stadium.

“For the past few years there has been a continual encroachment of bars and venues heading towards the sacred mountain. In the summer of 2006, the massive two-story bar opened just one mile from the mountain, called Sturgis County Line. Their goal is to have a 50,000-seat concert stadium and a RV park, in addition to the newly built two-story bar. These large scale commercial developments invite noise and cumulative impacts of increased traffic and travel, which all stand to adversely impact the natural serenity and tranquility needed for cultural, ceremonial and other visitations to Bear Butte. They will also negatively impact the experience of people who enjoy the spiritual, cultural, and natural resources at Bear Butte.”

President Joe A. Garcia of the National Congress of American Indians wrote to the Meade County Commissioners on June 11, stating that NCAI “opposes the Malt Beverage alcohol license application submitted by Broken Spoke Campground, L.L.C. Both the location and the character of the applicant are unsuitable for any alcohol licenses.” NCAI also urged the Commissioners to “use their broad discretion over alcohol licenses to begin government-to-government consultation with affected local Indian tribes to establish notification and consultation procedures for decisions that affect religious practice at Bear Butte and all American Indian sacred sites.”

The NCAI president also pointed out that the “federal government has already committed itself to consultation with tribes generally and more specifically whenever federal undertakings would affect historic properties of religious or cultural significance through an Executive Order titled Indian Sacred Sites and the National Historic Preservation Act. Furthermore, on September 13, 2007, the United Nations adopted the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Article 12 of that Declaration provides that indigenous peoples have ‘the right to maintain, protect, and have access in

privacy to their religious and cultural sites….’”
South Dakota: Ihanktonwan Dakota / Yankton Sioux Reservation, June 21, Sunrise

On Saturday, June 21, at Sunrise, members of the Ihanktonwan Dakota / Yankton Sioux will be offering prayers for the protection of the area impacted by the intrusion of a CAFO or hog farm from corporate farmers. Prayers will be at 5:30 a.m. or as close to Sunrise as possible.

Despite intense tribal protest, Long View Farms has located a hog farm within:

. three miles of a Sun Dance area;

. three miles of a Peyote fire altar;

. three miles of a place recognized as a "dwelling of a spirit"; and

. 3.2 miles of the greatest cultural resource of all, the Children.

The CAFO – hog farm -- is within 3.2 miles of the Head Start Center for Ihanktonwan Dakota / Yankton Sioux Children.

Numerous tribal protestors have been arrested, and now call themselves, "Protectors of the Red People" or Oyate Duta Awa Yankapo. A tornado recently hit the area, but the developers refuse to take heed.

Prayers will also be offered to protect the thousands of cultural sites that will be affected by the Keystone Pipeline in eastern South Dakota. Once again, parties like the Department of State have refused tribes the need to survey the corridor.

Thirdly, prayers are being offered because of the continuing disrespect of sacred sites along the Missouri River, home to the Yankton for centuries.

The Missouri River Corridor is one of the largest threatened territories in the struggle for the preservation and protection of ancestral burials and sacred and cultural places. Irreplaceable cultural and sacred areas are impacted every day by erosion from the six mainstem dams built on the upper River as a result of the Pick-Sloan Act of 1946. Shoreline Development, recreational use of the reservoirs and agricultural impacts also add to the vulnerability of sacred places that are intrinsic to the Missouri River Tribes’ spiritual and cultural practices.

And though Missouri River Tribes have forged a new management agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding the preservation of sacred and cultural resources on the River, these holy and irreplaceable places remain vulnerable to looting and vandalism as million of Americans come to the reservoirs for recreation and fishing.
Washington, DC: U.S. Capitol, West Front Grassy Area - June 20, Friday, at 8:00 a.m.

The observance in Washington, DC, will take place at the U.S. Capitol on the West Front Grassy Area on June 20 at 8:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend this respectful observance to honor sacred places and sacred beings and all those who care for them and protect them from harm. The observance will take the form of a talking circle. All are welcome to offer words, songs or a moment of silence for all sacred places, but especially for those that are being desecrated or damaged at this time.

This observance is organized by The Morning Star Institute, a national Native rights organization founded in 1984 and dedicated to Native Peoples’ cultural and traditional rights, including religious freedom and sacred places protection.

A co-sponsor of the commemoration in Washington is the Friends Committee on National Legislation (the Quaker lobbying organization). The FCNL issued this statement:

At a recent conference that included discussion of sacred sites, Tom Hoffman of St. Mary’s University said, “According to Vine Deloria Jr., experiencing the holy, rather than belief, is what characterizes the American Indian experience.” Daniel Wildcat of Haskell Indian Nations University added, “Deloria emphasized the ‘power of unique places that tell people who are paying attention that we are in a world full of life’” {from a report by Carol Berry in Indian Country Today 5/5/08}. We at FCNL will be pondering those thoughts on this National Prayer Day.

Faith based organizations oppose the destruction and desecration of sacred places. Quakers have supported legislative efforts to protect religious practices and sacred areas, which are tied to the history, culture, and spirituality of Indigenous people in the U.S.

The Friends Committee on National Legislation advocated for Native American religious freedom through the American Indian Religious Freedom Act, the Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation Act, and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Tourists tour famous churches all over Europe. They walk quietly through the Washington Cathedral and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Many people also travel to beautiful nature spots -- some of which border or encompass sites sacred to indigenous people. Tourists, people of good will and other non-Natives can appreciate Native sacred sites from a distance. To understand, we believe the public will especially benefit from the film "In Light of Reverence" and by learning more about struggles at places such as Bear Butte, South Dakota.

The government is obligated to stop practices such as building roads through sacred sites and allowing ski areas to be built on sacred sites. FCNL strongly supports President Clinton's executive order that agencies must avoid harm to the physical integrity of sacred sites and must guarantee access and use of such sites by Indian spiritual practitioners.
Co-sponsoring the commemoration in Washington again is the General Commission on Religion and Race of The United Methodist Church, which issued the following statement:

“As stated in The 2004 United Methodist Book of Resolutions, the Church supports ‘the God-given and constitutional rights of religious freedom for American Indians, including the preserving of traditional Native American sacred sites of worship’ (148, page 382). National Day of Prayer to Protect Sacred Places is a day for the Church to stand in solidarity with Natives to strengthen this protection. The General Commission on Religion and Race encourages United Methodists, Christians and all people to join in this observance and ask Congress to protect Native sacred places.”
Washington: Snoqualmie Falls, Friday, June 20, Noon

The Spirit of Snoqualmie Falls will be honored on the National Day of Prayer for the Protection of Native Sacred Places on Friday, June 20, at Noon. All are invited to gather and to bring food to share afterwards.

The Snoqualmie Tribe is presently awaiting a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision regarding the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission license to Puget Sound Energy for hydroelectric project 2493.

Lois Sweet Dorman, Snoqualmie Falls Ambassador and Acting Chair of the Snoqualmie Falls Preservation Project, invites “all to join in the much needed prayers” for the Protection of Native Sacred Places. “Protection of Snoqualmie Falls is foremost in our hearts and minds,” says Sweet Dorman. “We believe in the power of prayer. We add our hearts, voices and strength to all who continue this work and will also be praying on this.”

Snoqualmie Falls is where the Transformer created the first man and the first woman and then climbed back to his Star Father’s people where he can still be seen through the hole his Snoqualmie mother poked in the sky with her digging stick. He is Moon, the Transformer the Changer, providing light in the darkness for the people of the Valley of the Moon. “This is our Snoqualmie Creation history,” says Sweet Dorman.

“Snoqualmie Falls is a sacred place, where the water’s journey completes its sacred cycle at the base of the falls and a transformation of Spirit takes place. The mist creates the connection between worlds and at the same time delivers prayers and blessings.”

Snoqualmie Falls is deemed eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places as a Traditional Cultural Property.

Snoqualmie Falls is visited by more than 1.5 million people from around the world each year. It is 268 feet high, which is 100 feet higher than Niagara Falls, and is easily assessable from the Seattle metropolitan area. Snoqualmie Falls is on the “23 Most Endangered Sacred Places” list from the National Congress of American Indians.

“Go to our Sacred places, be still inside and strengthen your Spirit and your connection to the Creator,” says Sweet Dorman. “Give thanks that we still remain to carry on this Sacred Connection. May you be uplifted.”
Saturday, June 21: Summer Solstice National Day of Prayer for Sacred Sites will be observed at Mitchell Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EKVNA will call attention to the destruction of sacred sites in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the 1830s, 217 Indigenous mounds were mapped, all of which have been destroyed by ruthless developers except the Lake Park Mound. http://www.lakeparkfriends.org/history.shtml. Developers continue to uncover ancient remains where previously known sites have been forgotten.

The Sacred Sites Run draws public attention to sites through the annual National Day of Prayer and with the annual youth runs. Many speakers from various organizations and ethnic communities have been invited to share their struggle to protect their sacred places.

EKVNA has recently completed phase 1 of the Great Plains Great Prairie Sacred Sites Run 2008 from Ft. Thompson, Crow Creek Sioux Reservation's sacred sites to Winona, Minnesota, a near 500-mile trek cosponsored by the First Nations United Warrior Society's youth, the Mendota Mdewankanton Dakota Community and the Ho-Chunk Nation Native Cruzers. The destination for the run is the Indian Summer Festival Prayer Service in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, September 7 - 8, 2008.
I just wanted to let everyone know about some upcoming events involving a few of the Grandmothers.

Today (Saturday June 14) is the Sacred Salmon Ceremony at Ti'lomikh Falls in Gold Hill, Oregon. Grandmother Agnes Baker-Pilgrim has revived, and is the intercessor of, this beautiful ceremony. I went last year and had an amazing time. All you west coaster's know the situation with our salmon, so your prayers and support are appreciated. See this page for more information: http://www.agnesbakerpilgrim.org/Page.asp?PID=120

Also coming up this week is the American Horse / Afraid Of Bear Sun Dance in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Grandmother's Beatrice and Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance are the matriarch's of this dance. It was truly amazing to support Ina's Beatrice & Rita as they danced for 4 days straight in 100+ degree heat last year. These women are a huge inspiration to me and I encourage you to support them in whatever way that you can. I'm leaving this morning for the dance and hope to see some of you there. And if I don't see you, you'll be in my prayers.

I just got off the phone with my Mother, Beatrice Long Visitor Holy Dance, and she has informed me that my Brother, Aloysius Weasel Bear, was taken by ambulance to the Pine Ridge hospital this morning. Al went home last week for Mothers Day and Mom's Birthday. He had been feeling ill since he got there. Mom checked his blood pressure on Saturday and it was really high so they called the doctor. He told them to come in first thing Monday morning. But this morning he woke up feeling very sick so Mom checked his blood pressure again. This time it was 200/120!! So they called the doctor again and they sent an ambulance to come get him. He left for the hospital at about 6:45AM PST so I haven't heard anything yet. But I will keep you informed as I get updates. I love and care about my Brother a lot and humbly ask you all to keep him, and my Mother Beatrice, in your prayers.
Canadian Rights and Freedoms are at Risk
An Important Notice Regarding Bill C-51

On April 8th, 2008, the Canadian Minister of Health introduced Bill C-51 into the House of Commons. This Bill proposes significant changes to the current Food and Drugs Act that will have wide-ranging negative implications for Canadians.

Bill C-51 will:

· Remove democratic oversight, bypassing elected officials to vote in laws and allow bureaucrats to adopt laws from other countries without our consent.

· Remove 70% of Natural Health Products from Canadians and many others will be available by prescription only.

· Restrict research and development of safe natural alternatives in favor of high risk drugs.

· Punish Canadians with little or no opportunity for protection or recourse for simply speaking about or giving a natural product without the approval of government. More than 70% of people in Canada use a Natural Health Product. The new law goes so far as to warrant action against a person who would give another person an unapproved amount of garlic on the recommendation that it would improve that persons health.

Proposed New Enforcement Powers:

· Inspectors will enter private property without a warrant

· Inspectors will take your property at their discretion

· Inspectors will dispose of your property at will

· Inspectors will not reimburse you for your losses

· Inspectors will seize your bank accounts

· Inspectors will charge owners shipping and storage charges for seized property

· Inspectors will be empowered to store your property indefinitely

· Inspectors will levy fines of up to $5,000,000.00 and/or seek 2 years in jail per incident

With your assets and money under their control will you be able to defend yourself in Court?

Can you trust government with this new law and enforcement power?

Would our government really ever turn this law against us?

Will this new law be used to abuse and punish special interest groups, minorities, religious groups or others?

Why do bureaucrats want to bypass the Parliament and approval to create new laws?

Why do bureaucrats want seizure warrants without judge approval ?

With fines being increased a 1000 times, and seizing authority without a warrant, is Bill C-51 meant to bankrupt and silence its target audience?
Bill C-51: We Need Your Help On This One
Canada’s C-51 Law May Outlaw 60% of Natural Health Products; Big Pharma Pushing to Criminalize Supplements
by Mike Adams
(NaturalNews)

A new law being pushed in Canada by Big Pharma seeks to outlaw up to 60 percent of natural health products currently sold in Canada, even while criminalizing parents who give herbs or supplements to their children. The law, known as C-51, was introduced by the Canadian Minister of Health on April 8th, 2008, and it proposes sweeping changes to Canada’s Food and Drugs Act that could have devastating consequences on the health products industry.

Among the changes proposed by the bill are radical alterations to key terminology, including replacing the word “drug” with “therapeutic product” throughout the Act, thereby giving the Canadian government broad-reaching powers to regulate the sale of all herbs, vitamins, supplements and other items. With this single language change, anything that is “therapeutic” automatically falls under the Food and Drug Act. This would include bottled water, blueberries, dandelion greens and essentially all plant-derived substances.

The Act also changes the definition of the word “sell” to include anyone who gives such therapeutic products to someone else. So a mother giving an herb to her child, under the proposed new language, could be arrested for engaging in the sale of unregulated, unapproved “therapeutic substances.” Learn about more of these freedom-squashing changes to the law at the Stop51.com website: http://www.stopc51.com

New enforcement powers allow Canadian government to seize your home or business
At the same time that C-51 is outlawing herbs, supplements and vitamins, it would grant alarming new “enforcement” powers to the thugs enforcement agents who claim to be “protecting” the public from dangerous unapproved “therapeutic agents” like, say, dandelion greens. As explained on the www.Educate-Yourself.org website ((http://educate-yourself.org/cn/canadian…), the C-51 law would allow the Canadian government’s thugs enforcement agents to:

• Raid your home or business without a warrant
• Seize your bank accounts
• Levy fines up to $5 million and a jail terms up to 2 years for merely selling an herb
• Confiscate your property, then charge you storage fees for the expense involved in storing all the products they stole from you

C-51 would even criminalize the simple drying of herbs in your kitchen to be used in an herbal product, by the way. That would now be categorized as a “controlled activity,” and anyone caught engaging in such “controlled activities” would be arrested, fined and potentially jailed. Other “controlled activities” include labeling bottles, harvesting plants on a farm, collecting herbs from your back yard, or even testing herbal products on yourself! (Yes, virtually every activity involving herbs or supplements would be criminalized…)

There’s more, too. C-51 is the Canadian government’s “final solution” for the health products industry. It’s a desperate effort to destroy this industry that’s threatening the profits and viability of conventional medicine. Natural medicine works so well — and is becoming so widely used — that both the Canadian and American governments have decided to “nuke” the industries by passing new laws that effectively criminalize anyone selling such products. They simply cannot tolerate allowing consumers to have continued access to natural products. To do so will ultimately spell the destruction of Big Pharma and the outdated, corrupt and criminally-operated pharmaceutical industry that these criminally-operated governments are trying to protect.

Join the rally to protest C-51
On May 9th, 2008, Canadian citizens will be gathering at the Calgary Federal Court to protest C-51 and help protect their access to natural health products. Call 1-888-878-3467 to learn more, or visit the action page of Health Canada Exposed at: http://www.stopc51.com/c51/what_you_can_do.asp

NaturalNews is looking to hire someone with a good video camera to film the event. We’ll gladly pay you to video tape this and send us the resulting file, which we will edit and then post for NaturalNews readers. If you have a video camera (with good audio, hopefully) and can attend the May 9th rally, please contact us at (U.S.) 520-232-9300 for details. If you do film there, be sure to use the camera buddy system, where you have somebody in the distance filming YOU with the camera, so that if Canadian law enforcement thugs decide to assault you and steal your video camera in order to censor the event, then somebody else in the distance has THAT on video! You got that? So there are two cameras working, camera A is filming the rally, and it’s very close to the action. Camera B is set back farther from the scene, and it’s filming the person holding camera A. This is standard operating practice for filming such events, and it makes it very difficult for government thugs to shut down the video. Often, the person filming with camera B is in a car somewhere, or filming covertly so that they don’t attract attention. Zoom lenses help a lot.

In any case, if you manage to get some video of this event, then we’d be thrilled to share it with NaturalNews readers. And like I said, we’ll pay for footage, so call us for details. Together, we can help spread the word about this important rally for health freedom in Canada.
Section 30(7) of Bill C-51

1. Bypassing our elected official’s ability to vote out laws that are not the will of, or in the interest of the Canadian people.
2. Allows government agents, (not elected officials) to create binding laws behind closed doors.
3. New powers will allow enforcement of these laws by the searching and seizing of private property and bank accounts without warrants.

Fast Tracks New Drugs to Market; Reduced Safety Measures

1. By shortening the approval process for new drugs.
2. By placing the responsibility of safety on drug companies with a proven track record of downplaying the health risks and side effects.

Increased numbers of adverse drug reactions will lead to an increase in malpractice and personal law suits against doctors who prescribe new drugs which have not been tested properly for health and safety risks.

University of Arizona, concluded that overall, the cost of U.S. drug related morbidity and mortality exceed $177.4 billion in the year 2000 with over 200,000 deaths created annually.

1. At the current rate of licensing failure, more than 70% of natural health products will be illegal.
2. Broad definitions will allow government agents to invoke enforcement on people who do as little as share a “therapeutic product” with a friend. Garlic and many other foods are therapeutic product
