So if you believe that we are living one long continuous life in the cycle of samara, and that humans out of all forms (gods, titans, hungry ghosts, and deviants of hell) are the only state in which you can achieve nirvana; is it possible that you can have revelations, if you will, as to when you can achieve nirvana? Lets say there are things that match and coincide that you find everyday, that all point to one date. Could that day be the day when you achieve inner peace, therefore reaching nirvana? And if so, why would it be revealed or shown to you? Perhaps to ready your body and mind for enlightenment?

Wed, July 6, 2005 - 1:18 PMSure - you could be getting ready for enlightenment... and all the signs and coincidences are leading you to that place.
But my Tibetan teacher would say "This is all just phenomenon - do not pay attention. Watch your breathing. Do your mantras."
Any psychic activity (which is the natural result of spiritual practice) is just a distraction. -

I know I'm risking sounding a bit "fluffy" here but --just be.
