2) Plato already taught that dogs were choral trackers of the gods who have fled. Every festival goer needs his dog, and is himself a dog. A good dog finds the gods, and all gods dance in a circle around dog.

3) Humans are essentially dog-like in their most interior shadow and soul. They are loyal to Being, to truth, and to the pack, appearance. Humans are the dogs of gods, or perhaps even, the gods of dog.

this piece has stimulated a bit of conversation here in a-town. we seek the point and the meaning of this eye-boob connection. i am not alone here when i say i have never had eyez on my boobs or boobs on my eyez and so i am wondering:
1. am i missing out?
2. are boobs on the eyes like the most psychedelic thing since the last great psychedelics stormed the country?
3. is this a canada thing?

Impromptu Piratecar Playa Perfection!

After monday's burn, I thought it'd be hard to top all the spontaneous flashbang, and that the rest of the week's buildup might've been thwarted. Tuesday night, though, you guys showed me that the magic of the Playa continually delivers.
When I happened upon your pirateship down the block from the Space Cowboys, I was absolutely blown away by your vibe and otherworldly, yet perfectly aperpoe sound and message.
I was mesmerized and compelled to stay for hours. (I'd be the guy in the loincloth getting down front row, hands rocking to the sky. . .But that couldve been several of us.)
Thank you for one of the best, funkiest, most unexpected nights on the Playa to date.
I'm relocating to SF just in time for Halloween, so maybe I'll try to track you cats down in the Bay area. Keep up the fresh and freaky sounds!

Once more, hence forth and furthermores, Ye Olde Funginears Are Scrambling like a magic egg in it's journey to a morning time mouth apointment....

Stuffing puppets in bags and proding plans with a pogo stick along the merry path to actualization,
Many things have happend this summer, wowza ! what a flume ride it has been.......

BUT:

All that adventour was but a candy liped fluffer for the crowning glory about to unfold, the syrup on the gypsy pancakes, the cream in the tea, the beez in the knees, the shtuff on the things...

Yes if you have not guessed it by now my sparkle muffined headed friend.
burning man is what I elude to,
and , the fun times that are preped like a birthday cake making it's way to the oven....

And this year, we have splurged on some mighty fine and wonderous new and rare and suprising ingredients......

The fundalini did rise, now we are but a bakers dozen of Fundalini Raisens, reduced, refined, wrinkled and sweet.

We have joined forces on the home front camplandia with some Masterfull karete kids and a thriving mob of glitch slaying nice nicers, to form the Inconcievable and blindfolded congealment of potentialitys:

The Funginears shall be adventouring forth, for many what nots and unplaned howdy do's of however we feel likes and whatever a happenses.

We unfortunetly WONT be trying to make vats of holindaze and mini poached eggs with mini biscuits on skewers as people are arriving and we find out almost all the ingredients have gone way off but we try anyway with substitute flavors (don't ever try and make holindaze with soy milk on the playa, BAD IDEA.)

We will be bringing totally heart felt precious nectar filled moments full of joy , grace, fun, smiles and aha's
(we hope) and having this sumday brunch be a potluck suprise, bring whatever you feel like or have left over to share and nibble and sip with your friends........

we will be bringing the fluffy buff stuff to entheon village and stuffing the morning after the burn with super special new kinds of harmonius fun.....

Creating (with you most hopefully) a snip snapity shmorgusboard buffet of the senses, with all sorts of super special suprises (sorry can't tell you, or else it wouldn't be a suprise) and our very favoritest people gatherd in one place to share magic.......

One again we shall be hosting and polishing the whole shabang with variety show steez in full effect:

Shambhala 2006 Reminiscences

So when I heard how scrumptious the funginears show was. . .
I did some diggin in the archive, and found this. . .

Some potent moment of Shambhala 2006:

-Paragon's lonely tree melancholy song. Touched a deep chord to see Paragon abandoned by papa, growing up in the underground forest all alone and inside the voice of the Tree, marvellously channeled through the music of Lady-Apples poetry, a tree that taught how for one and all “the nectar of galactation is always within reach.”

-Also fun was witnessing Duke of Earl Grey and Lady Grey having their marvelous tea party in which they mull over the majestic codices of etiquette and civility, of propriety and impropriety. From the Duke of Earl “the most refined nectar producer in all the land” to the splayed out Fundalino eating and stuffing himself, to fancy Lady Grey, who does not object to Fundalino’s slouching but only to “how” he slouches, we barely witness a change. And Fundalino is so cute for always wanting to marry the first little bit of propriety that comes his way. That Lady Grey with her hint of rose and lavender enchanting the bergamot, is certainly a lady for having to remind Fundalino that “marriage is highly improper around these parts.” And who wouldn’t love Fundalino’s special aerobos outfit, in which even the snail-life of contemplation-contraction is able to slide across the table without the audience sensing that the slightest breach of propriety has occurred. Too bad it was always his invisible attendants that saw to the tea, so that Fundalino didn’t even know what was in it! Perhaps this horizon of not-knowing, where the stakes are high, is also connected to Fundalino’s hilarious question about how to pick your nose, interjected into a moment of scarlet vanity, a vanity that redeems itself in terms of that little-bit-extra the nose-picking-magic will cost him. Again when it comes to propriety, Lady Grey gets the last word.

-The most interesting scene was surely when Paragon was asking to be with Polkadot forever and her apprehension led Paragon to think of the fact he had “never met his father.” At that moment, a Ghost, remarkably like in Hamlet, arrives on stage, the voice of the father no less, who, when asked a number of questions about his negligence to pick Paragon up at Unicorn-Little-League, replied “I gamble.” The realization that God the Father is a Gangsta who can only urge his son towards homework, good behaviour, and secrecy, leads Paragon to an important realization. A realization about PolkaDot whose femininity and mahogany he loves more than gambling on the whole forest with its paradoxical order. PolkaDot is delighted, but also intent on directing Paragon’s overly monogamous intentions towards all the different kinds of wood in the forest, so that together they can learn to navigate all the boarder thresholds they are likely to experience in the realm of Shambhala.

-In the grand finale we received a great lesson about the connection that exists between the capacity to galactate and holding the personal and collective cheese. Paragon will only receive the visionary relaxation of boobs and eyes and eyes on boobs when he can contain his excitement and hold his cheese. The first I heard of this marvelous idea was in Kyrian’s blog on the piece I wrote, he said: “boobs on eyes intermission is definitely recommended for deeper comprehension.” I kinda understood what he meant then, but then in the performance I understood better. Galactated milk flows through the chest, really healing the eyes so they can become true receivers of galactic sight. Who could forget this miraculous teaching about how to heal the visionary woes of the wandering king or the fun-to-lean-o Duke of Earl? So healed even from the demands of his Dukedom, Paragon awakens with a vision of a land “where creature had all these crazy limbs and cloths and stuff and they didn’t know the novelty of boobs on eyes and eyes on boobs.” And PolkaDot reminds us: “This is the way we are learning how to show our chest and cheese together without exploding.”

Prophesees of Funginearing (The Crib of Fable)

“There is no way of understanding the crib if it is not first and foremost understood that the image of the world which is presents in miniature is a historical image. For what it shows us is the world of fable at the moment when it wakes from enchantment to enter history. The fable has been able to gain independence from initiation rites only by transforming the experience of mystery at its center, and turning it into enchantment. The creature of fable undergoes journeys of initiation and silence of mystery, but without experiencing them directly, in other words, they undergo mystery in the form of a spell . . .In the fairy tale, humans, spellbound are mute, while nature, made human, speaks. . . The crib understands the world of the fairy tale in the messianic moment of this transition. Hence the animals who, in the fairy tale, left a mute trail of pure language behind them, now speak . . . Humans, too, under the spell of the fairy tale. . . are drawn towards this original speech . . . In the fairy tale, all is ambiguous gesticulation of law and magic. . . enchanting or worrisome truths. . . which in the crib are restored to the univocity and transparency of human beings historical gestures . . . It could be said that the prehistoric depth of the etheric world. . . the somnolent and miasmic world of the fairy tale is the medium between the mysteries of the hierophant unicorn and the historical gestures of the crib. For in the messianic night of infancy, the creature’s gesture is freed of any magical-juridical-divinatory density, and becomes simply human and profane. . . The Magi are seen in the final act of adoration before they melt into the nameless crowd. . . all ritual traces dissolve into the innocence of the quotidian. . . the sleeper continues his crepuscular life among other children. . . laden with divinatory presages or disburdened and profane . . The key to this liberation from (and of) enchantment is miniaturization, that ‘salvation of the small’ which –as is shown in every epoch by a taste for puppets, marionettes, and mosaics. . . which are almost like the counter-echo to which rigidity of the monumental entrusts its hope of historical awakening. The image of the crib belongs here, wherein all the figures of history, without exception, are given into a single structure through the invisible adhesion of participation in the messianic event of the child who is reared into its world. . . Thus in the sumptuous, endless proliferation of images and events, in which the original holy scene is well-nigh forgotten and the eye tires of searching for it, all distinctions between the sacred and the profane blur away, and the two spheres are bridged in historical fable. Against the monumentality of a world now fixed or frozen in inflexible laws. . . the crib counterposes the minutiae of history in what one might call its nascent state, in which everything is mere fragment and moment, but in which each fragment is immediately and historically complete . . . The crib has. . . as eternal guardian of what merits survival, held in safekeeping up to our time, together with play and fairy tale, all those delirious, loving impulses which enter into discrepancy with the threadbare or imprecise gestures of an age . . . Are we then about to see, in this discrepancy, the sign that nature is once more about to enter the fairy tale, that once more it asks history for speech, while humans, taking up the outlines of their destiny, let themselves be put under the enchantment of fable? Until one night, in the shadow-light where a new crib will light up figures and colours yet unknown, nature will once again be immured in its silent language, the fable will awaken in history, and humans will emerge, with lips unsealed, from mystery to song.”

Philosophees of Funginearing

Thesis:

The Funginears are in their essence and origin a rebirth, under modern festival conditions, of the ancient mystery cults.

Lemma 1:

What is essential to recall is that the form of secularization which is inherent in everything modern could not have been skipped over by the Funginears.

The Spectacle, once the magico-religious and political modus operandi of the mystery cult, and becoming in modernity the hegemonico-captalist vehicle for commodity fetishism, therefore, finds in the Funginears its contradictory duality exposed and fulfilled.

This paradoxical divisiveness, holding the most radical possibilities of a futural politics in reserve, reveals both its faces simultaneously in the Funginears due to an uncanny and radical symbiosis.

I am speaking of the symbiosis of the festival and capitalism.

This symbiosis is uncanny because it reveals the inner friendship, and even good will, between the supposedly most mortal of mortal enemies (the free people of the festival and the state of populations), and this symbiosis is radical it that it reveals within the festival the possibility of an assimilation of capital into the properly improper organs of festive temporality, a radical temporality that has the capacity to dismantle state time, and leave it without any possible organs of reconstitution in the newly refungineared human ethos.

All the stranger, then, is the dual growth of this symbiosis in that, resting on the common playing field of an unconditional expenditure, the festival discovers its essence in finitude and locality, while capitalism, without an essence of its own, carries its ‘not well measured time’ into the impossible infinity, wherewith absenting itself from the time that remains, it survives and reduplicates itself through the institutions of a virtual or tele-technological domination.

This alleged symbiosis between the festival and capitalism, then, which is also a contra-dictare between the near and the far at the heart of the festival itself, will reveal, fracture, and regenerate itself, only on that day when the planet as a whole will have realized its own finitude.

But this finitude can be realized only through the enactment horizon proper to the a-sociating and choreological society of funginears.

Everything in this earth will hinge on its funginears not succumbing to the unspoken power of a given historical era, with its concomitant State, epochs of spectation, and ways of accomplished nihilism.

The promising affinity between festivals and capitalism (promising even the homeland that will enable an Open phenomenological horizon), is only intensified in its potential openess at the moment when Debord defines capitalism as nothing other than “the immense accumulation of spectacles."

This definition could serve equally well as a definition of the festival ("an immense accumulation of spectacles"), with the only difference being that in the festival, these spectacles discover the native ground, however thin, denied to them in the cycles of capitalist production.

The Spectacle, throughout Debord’s analyses, repeatedly displays this modal indifference to whether we are speaking of the expenditure proper to industry or to play. The spectacle “is a social relation among people mediatized by images” ; it is “capital to such a degree of accumulation that it becomes an image”, and hence a potential symbolon, or exchange-value. All the more reason to express our astonishment when in the Funginears, the Spectacle, that “pure form of separation”, becomes the site of the recuperation of the irrecuperable, that is, of a social regeneration through the time-play-space (Zeit-Spiel-Raum) that goes by way of a teletechnics of the Schema-image that the Earth itself, in majesterial presence, remodes.

The extreme form of this appropriating expropriation, Agamben reminds us, is the Common, or Language: “in the spectacle our own linguistic nature comes back to us inverted”, or "assilliyated." Or again: “Contemporary politics is this devastating experimentum linguae that all over the planet unhinges and empties [transforms] traditions and beliefs, ideologies and religions, identities and communities. Only those who succeed in carrying it to completion—without allowing what reveals to remain veiled in the absenscial obscurity that reveals, but bringing language itself to language—will be the first citizens of a community with neither presuppositions nor a State, where the nullifying and determining power of what is common will be pacified and where the Shekinah will have stopped sucking the black milk of its own separation.”

Substituting for the black milk of the Shekinah (the cut-off human twigs of the tenth Sefirot), the Funginears will access the white milk of the Galactic Tree that nourishes the pure latency of the the suckling commonality and the revelation of "anything whatsoever, that is, loved." This final phase of the passing of the last god as it turns into the perpetual peace within the kingdom of finitude will be achieved only through the non-isolation and virtual superimposition of the tree of knowledge and the tree of life. Such a mystical yet impossible identication without identity of sophia and bios (qualified life) is the source of that fun that must be now be engineered.

All in preperation to bring it on the road with are buddys ZIlla , Lorin bassnecta, and a heap of other lovely friends......
for the Underground Comunication Tour....

We will be doing a full on crazy new show, with new sets and puppets and suprises Oh my!...
at the begining of the night, to warm you up and get them elbow chakras open......

and be totally unfashionable, and on time......(it's totally fashionable to be unfashionable these daze....shhhh)
we will also be doing other little bits and what nots threw out the night...

News update on this gig.

First, the lineup!

Second, tickets!

Tickets will be on sale at the Armory Show only. Due to fire code limitations at the Chai Hut, there will only be 45 tickets sold. Not one more. We just learned our occupancy limitations last week and in this case, must respect the law. SO! In order to make this whole shindig viable, tickets will be sold for $10 each. That's an increase of $5 bucks from my last post. i apologize for this but since we are limited to 45 people and we have ta help our musicians travel and eat, an pay the electric billz an such..... $10 a pop is what is.

the cool thing is that this will be an unforgettable and intimate gathering!

Third, Chai Hut Remodel!

There are some things, demolition and construction type of things, that could open the Chai Hut to more people for parties like this. We heartsongians have invested hella hours, effort and dollars into creating this space. if this community feels a strong need for a new public gathering space in the form of the Chai Hut, now is the time to help us out. we can increase the occupancy of the building to 100, but we'll have to move some walls and stuff..... tribe me direct if you have the ability and desire to accomplish this mission. We are in need of tools, labor and cash to make these changes.

Anyhoo.... gratitude to Miz Jody Starfish who is working full tilt on this event, give her a whoop whoop, folks! Thanks for bringin action to Ashland, lady!

On the fringe peaking around bold textures and flimsy tinsels I've watched the phenom of funginearing remain true to its roots of creation and I find myself bewildered to a happy place. Being-wildering and bedraggling constellations of creative gypsy grifters and tinkerpunks is just my stuff and I'm looking to enroll in a truffle of ruffle and find a centerpoint in this whirlwind. So where to start this traction on the reaction of embodying the fungineering persuasion. I'm looking for the BigBruttha and Sista spiral arm to take me under and offer mentorship in the training of fungineering. I may offer my example as an ambassador in the Reno area and with the right training, scooby snacks, and synchronous sonnets of the divine crush I know I will survive the permutation. Do I start with the tutu, the unicorn, mermanic succspression.........three lefts to make it right....hmmmmm....whomevers ears are burning and thots a turnin fire me a repose and you'll find a dervish-in-service and another of the mother to flesh out and shake out the spectacle of wonder. And somehow I got my lure stuck in the rabbit hole so any suggestions on etheric alchemy would be helpful as well.

Festival and organization of the event is underway. The idea is to have a huge party to unify the North American psy-trance scene. elevating fun beyond the second (or even 4th) chakra?

I love the puppets - fuzzy whomps that melt my heart many whackolicious morns. . . . but, what's with all the potty humour?

Perhaps we need to funginear the base foundations of fun, but perhaps could the structure be elevated beyond the preliminary chakras and become a true skyscraper of fun in conciousness?

I remember the show from invision 2005, very psychedelic and expansive. I loved it. Of course bodies are fun things, and its all quite hilarious, and speaks to the exploration of new paradigms not often discussed on saturday morning cartoons. . .but couldn't we apply these masteries to unveiling other mysteries as well?

I'd love to see HuWiz downloading the secrets of magical botany, to hear paragon dropping the dl on sacred geometry, or have polkadot tell us how those dear crystal friends from the palace balance her dots on the subtle energy planes.

On the Funginears

I’ve been wanting to write a short piece about the Funginears for a while, in part to recapitulate what I’ve seen and give them feedback, in part to share with them some insightful sources they may not have been exposed to (like the theatre theory of Antonin Artaud, or certain related aspects of classical choral drama), sources that cast a prophetic light on the biometaphysical origins, methods, and goals of funginearing.

This would be the first section of an upcoming pamphlet or short book, whose other sections may include Manifesto for a Theater of Fun, Mythic-Metaphysics of Funginearing, History of the Puppet Theater, Puppet-Philosophy, Funginears go to Burning Man, Funginears and Popular Culture, Funginears in Mermania, Highlights, Stories, and Reports, etc. . .

Everything is a work in progress, so feel free to contribute or to critique. Let's put together an anthology for this and other PCNW theater movements. I'll keep adding sections to this thread as they are complete and I encourage you to do the same, and start new threads.

Let’s all write up everything every new and elder, recognized and unrecognized Funginear has ever laid out in the mega and minipuppeteering plan. Let’s create a huge galactronic univault of funginering postmeta posts, with every detail remembered and inscribed in eternal characters. Let’s build the legacy art-chive for all the funginereal nebulaic nexaliciousness. The full (trans)personal process report (temporal-spread integration) for all the hilarities of the ever shifting magnificence of a chor-i-pix-elated Now. A magical volume of definitive puppeteering-manuals and theatre-guidebooks, so not one magical little gesture and elbowchakra opening sneaks away without leaving hundreds of "forever and forever I love you" notes like mystical graffiti strewn over all the pallasades of the mind.

I) Why Antonin Artaud Would have had his Life transformed and may have Succeeded in creating a Revolutionary Theatre Had He Met the Funginears.

In the early 1930’s Antonin Artaud, French theatre guru and sorceror, genius and madman, released what would become his best known work, “Theatre and its Double.” The first essay in that book “On the Balinese Theatre” catalogued Artaud’s impression of Oriental theatre. I submit that every funginear should read this little piece, or at least the present version of it. It is kinda like a description of Funginearing, a description for a New Theatre, except for two little differences, Artaud said “fear” when the Funginears say “fun”, and Artaud said "discipline" when the Funginears say "chance." Big deals, to be sure, since it is well known that fear is usually unfun, but ambiguous, since it is also a very raw, potential state of fun.

After opening the essay with the entrance of a Ghost, the recognition of our implication in the full spectralogenesis of an aligning Event horizon, Artaud zeroes in on the “complex profusions of all the artifices of the stage [the mythically complex tapestry of scenes that colour the land of OnceUpon A], and which give to our minds, as it were, the idea of a metaphysics derived from a new utilization of gesture and voice.”

What is really curious about these gestures [think of Kyrian’s beatboxing here],
these angular and abruptly shifting attitudes, these syncopated modulations formed at the back of the throat,
these musical phrases that break off short, these flappings of wings, these rustlings of branches,
these creakings of the robots, these dances of animated puppets, it this:
that out of their labyrinth of gestures, attitudes, and sudden shouts,
out of gyrations and turns that leave no portion of the space on [or off] the stage unused,
there emerges the sense of a new physical language based on signs rather than words.
These puppet actors with their geomantic [tutus] seem like animated hieroglyphs . . . (SW 216)

Let's continue to retranslate, and even to rewrite Artaud’s essay, bringing its connection with Funginearing to light. Everything that follows is really a rendering of Artaud's short essay (with a few obvious embellishments, I admit, but nothing that does not derive directly from the text itself). The incredible parallelisms between Artaud's vision for the theater and funginearing performances really made me wonder what Artaud might have thought and said had he met the Funginears. Probably he would have said something kinda like this. . .

It is not merely the shape of their tutus that protects the shifting sacral axis of the human figure,
but it is what creates in these psilli oracles a state of trance and of perpetual dragungulation,
generating another kind of symbolic or second clothing,
which inspires an intellectual idea and which is related by all the intersecting lines
to all the integrations of a spatiotemporal perspective.

We are speaking of direct pantomime, chorally guided by voices that rhythmically and melodically
move the air in time to the mechanisms of a liberated unconscious,
in which the Funginears, as doubles of themselves,
do nothing but parade their own ultimate reality,
offering us a portraiture of initiatic time that is felt in every latitude and which proves that in the human,
as well as in the transhuman, the Funginears have something to teach us in matters of reality.

Our theatre [in the Western tradition], which has not integrated this metaphysics of gesture,
or known how to use music for such immediate and concrete dynamical purposes,
since merely verbal theater is ignorant of everything that constitutes theater, that is,
everything that exists in the air of the stage, and that is measured and surrounded by air,
everything that has density in space---movements, forms, colors, vibrations, attitudes, shouts
– our theater would do well, in regard to what cannot be measured,
and what depends on the mind’s power of suggestion,
to ask the Funginears for a lesson in spirituality.

This purely popular and nonsacred theatre gives us an extraordinary idea of the intellectual level of a culture
that bases its magical performances on the creative alliances of its community festivals.

Here we witness the eudaimonic majesty of their Paragon
who emerges always from a dense and subtle fabric of gestures, in the infinitely varied modulation of the voice,
and the downpour of sound as onto a vast forest dripping and coming to life.

The holarchic quality of costumes gives each actor something like a double body,
a double set of limbs, which stretch out over the broad rhythm of the music
—in order to oversee the birth of a more fragile and melodic sound,
in which the most precious minerals seems to be ground,
as into springs of water that gush up as fountains,
amidst armadas of mystical creatures that bathe in the light of surrounding vegetation
in which the sounds of deep solitudes seem elevated into the flight of crystals.

There is here a whole collection of ritual gestures to which we do not always have the keys
and which obeys extremely precise musical indications, and which seems to correspond
with something more which does not even belong to music, and which is designed to surround thought,
to pursue it, and to lead it into the inextricable yet certain labyrinths where dreams reveals themselves
to be the ultimate fabrick underlying all physical reality.

A kind of beauty touches us as we contemplate these soulful mechanisms,
whose joys and sorrow seem not to belong only to them,
but to participate in the sensible rites of holophantic orders.

Beginning with hand-gestures that flutter in syncopation with the sea,
like keen minds finding their way through the maze of the unconscious,
they arrive at the body of a dancer who no longer even points to his head,
as to the location and life of some mysterious central eye and intellectual egg,
but who chooses rather to use every stray gesture to accentuate his elbow!

And these Tutus that flare out and hold the dancers as if suspended in the air,
and that prolong each of their pirouette leaps in survey of the sarvering gallack seas,
perceiving how there is no more than a gesture still separating them from chaos!

They dance, these metaphysicians of natural order, giving back every vibration of sound,
each fragmentary perception as if ready to rejoin the chorus at its source,
and all at once we are in the midst of the Metaphysical,
of the cosmic forces that surge admirably through the dance
in all glitch angles that register the descent of the mind,
as the body ascends through the fluid waves, one on top of another,
of an infinitesimal and infinite topology it learns, mermanically, to sail.

And at once, we are in the midst of choral dancers clad in dazzling elvish garments
whose radiant bodies underneath seem to cradle in mystic bands,
the divine infants, their former selves, now nourished on the milk of rainbows.

There is something umbilical, something delightfully larval in their movements,
and at the same time one must note the cosmic aspect of their ever shifting costumes:
they are like creatures covered with fabricks
destined to connect them to some natural perspective of which they constellate the immanent geometry,
these costumes which surround their gliding when they walk.

Each of their movements traces a flight path in space and completes some aspect of an unknown but precise constellation,
a just virtually comprehended hermeticism of the emergent landscape that becomes discernible
in the perpetual play of mirrors that move from a color to a gesture, and from a sound to a movement.

And this is done with a progressive and acute sense of musical analogy and choreographic subtlety,
until the mind is forced to synthesize all the elements
and to intuit in the colorful gestures of the performers, the melodies of an orchestra -- and the reverse.

It is a theatre of quintessence in which things perform strange turn-abouts before luxuriating in their pure state.
So acutely do their gestures exfoliate the rhythm of our world that they seem to be the very inventors of music,
guided and scored by the lunar eyes of Goddesses whose dreamlike life absorps all solar things,
and for whom the life of our common day must appear as a phantom predestined for absolute song.

Then, from their faltering, time and again, you see them perform a kind of recovery with measured steps.
But just as you think you are secure in a maze, they change the conditions of balance,
and invent a new ways of continually inventing space,
as though they had once and for all returned to the very origins of rhythm,
and were simply hunting its harmonic folds back into the inner flight of a collective origami bird.

Until at the peak, nothing is left to personal initiative,
and we witness a kind of superior dance
in which the dancers are above all, puppets.

An impression of transhumanity, of divinity, of miraculous revelation is created by the beauty of this cosmic demiurgy,
a series of luminous circles overlapping each other,
composed of combinations of multicoloured feathers,
of pearls on waves whose crests sway rhythmically,
consciously responding to the slightest shifts of each other's awareness.

This dazzling blend of spontaneities, escapades, passages, collaborations, choral elevations and revelations,
in all the dimensions and directions of imagination, sensation, perception, thought, and intuition
have rediscovered for our age what the theatre should never have ceased to be.

And this impression is reinforced by the fact that this supreme spectacle
—which is completely popular among its own people---is, as it were,
the daily manna of the artistic feelings of the denizens of land of OnceUponA
which is blessed from on high by the knights of the CrystalUnicornFortress.

In this land all creation finds its expression and even its origins
in a secret psychic impulse which is Speech anterior to words.

It is a land whose theater eliminates the playwright in favor of the co-director;
but the director has become a kind of magical conductor,
and the raw materials he works with are other puppets he helps to bring quiveringly to life,
until at last a spectacle emerges from the primitive connectivity
of the third Nature which a doubly minded communal Spirit has favored.

What is set in motion is the Mannafested.

It is a kind of Primary Physics of Time
from which the Spirit of the Cosmos has never been separated,
but which comes mythically to light in the Third Age of the World.

And perhaps most important of all,
is our joy to find in this theatre the low humming of things of instinct,
but brought to the point of transparency, intelligence, and malleability
where they seem to offer us in physical form some of the most secret perceptions of the mind,
the wild unicorn sparkles or Elephancypants of hilarious and profane maturations of collective mystical apperception.

Indeed a whole new language seems to have been invented
and the actor-puppets with their first and second costumes form true hologlyphs that move and walk around,
and these pure Images are continually embellished with ever more communally affirmed gestures
—mysterious signs that correspond to some fabulous and fun reality that will forever after refuse to be repressed.

There is something that participates of the spirit of a magic trick in this intense liberation of signs
that are at first held back and then suddenly set free into a majestic air.
A divine turbulence, full of familiar landmarks, and strangely well organized,
mixing in the effervescence of colorful rhythms in which the plural tonalities of entire virtual populations
are sustained as the ecology of friends who come to presence in every well-planned silence.

This idea of a pure theatre is realized in the Funginears in a way that is quite astonishing because it perpetually uncovers
a preverbal state that virtually to choose its own language: music, gestures, movements, words.

How therefore could we suppress our sheer wonder at these people
who manage to give a mystical meaning to a Tutu?

And who are not content to place us beside our doubles, but constantly search through each clothed person
his double of clothing, tearing off the illusory or secondary garb his spirit has on,
until the neophytes who surround the stage appear as huge celestial butterflies mutamorphing across the air,
these people obviously possess to a much greater degree than usual
the innate sense of the absolute and magical symbolism of nature.

Expanding their repertoire of gestures and mimetic devices for nearly every circumstance,
they restore hilarity to the Now as the true physical absoluteness of dancers entrusted by the
Pantheon to embody the mysterious lofty PuppetMyths whose grandeur makes the Western theatre seem like an infantile game.

The Funginears have restored the theatre to its bases in a heautonomous cocreation under the sign of Psilliness and of Fun.

They are bathed in a profound intoxication which restores to them the very elements of ecstasy in which they perpetually unveil the lush teeming animal and mineral rustling of plants, rainforests, mossy grandfather trees, and all earth’s creatures in harmony,
with the feet of dancers as they follow the rippling ruffles of Mermanic Tutus onto the
original Ground of Earth’s true estate as galactiverse of heaven's deep Heart.

With the Funginears we are present at social alchemy which turns all we are into pure gesture,
lush, cosmotronic, nonlinear gesture of all our earthly actions as they emerge from and return to a luminous ocean.

And after a moment the magical identification has been made:
and we know it is we ourselves who are speaking, we and all of time's funginears,
as beings who undergo the duelling dance of Bellerophon and the Chimera in the spirit of pure love,
as an athletic and mystical interplay of bodies and spirits in the undulations of a world's stage,
whose enormous spiral is revealed one phase at a time.

And behind the Funginears, bristling and neighing from within the formidable CyberUnicornTron, is the Double,
the RoboticMonkey of the UndergroundForest who struts about confidently,
indulging in the childishness of boyhood dreams, grateful for the halcyon aftereffects of the heavenly storm,
moving now just barely aware of the charms, of which at one time or another, he has understood all.

the funginears...........decided to try and hold are collective cheese this summer and try and cultivate it,
instead of droping it and spreading it all over tha place all the time like....

so....
we decided to just do a handfull of shows that we are super stoked upon, instead of doing lot's of shows all the time and getin spent like,,,,,,
and on that note, I herby declare..........
