Re: Five Years: 2012 and the End of the World As We Know It
Sun, December 16, 2007 - 8:17 AMI have a huge resistence to the 2012 thing but yet it pulls at my milky way solar plexus somehow. It does appear to me very obvious that our negative impact on the planet is really coming home to roost now and Global Warming is just a tip of the vanishing iceberg. I've read about the extraordinary array of potential Apocalypses but to me the biggest potential for disaster is not volcanoes or such but simply us. With China, India, Indonesia, etc all industrializing at fantastic rates with their vast populations and lack of state of the art environmental technologies, this new industrialization seems to me to be more than enough to destroy our civlilzation as we know it even without the help of a 2012 Apocalypse. I just have an uneasy feeling that in five years we could cross some threshold that we do not now perceive in terms of our impact on this planet and any kind of Apocalypse will be more than enough to push us over this edge. And the reports pouring in about all kinds of serious manmade problems are coming from sources like NASA and Science Journals not Daniel Pinchbeck or any other new age wackos. -

Re: Five Years: 2012 and the End of the World As We Know It
Thu, January 24, 2008 - 9:48 PMThe ecological threat to the planet is very real and i do believe that this is one of the many faucets of eminent paradigm shift.
I see that 2012 is like an epiphiny for all things. The political environment is awry with a globalist agenda. Human rights are being taken away from citizens of a 'free country' in the name of security. The environment is at stake due to reckless exploitation and neglegent stwardship. Moral degradation and decay of the social structure has made every man and woman an island as people feel more disconnected and frustrated with their apparently meanless existance.
Is 2012 a breaking point? The time seems ripe in all spheres of the human experiance for a new and fresh perspective on the world / galaxy/ universe we live in.
2012 is happening right now. We are realizing global awareness and conciousness, through instantaneous communications and unlimited data storage we are living in an age of unlimited information possibilities.
New understandings of outerspace with satelites like the hubble telecope that can look back in time at intersteller events of creation and worlds beyond light years and beyond our wildest dreams. Meanwhile breakthroughs by quantum physisist allude to a multi-dimensional universe and challenges the long held theorys relating to the rigid linearality of space and time.
We are at a point where the relation of all these things and all the things in the universe must be conceited upon.
I'm hoping that 2012 will be a universal concioussness awakening where we see the interconnectedness of the universe and realize our potential as divine creators.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.
