"Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Ecstasy" is now out in the USA... Bear and Co edition, except the subtitle is now "Catastrophe or Awakening" ( the Greek ex stasis origin meaning standing outside oneself was probably eclipsed by the recreational drug meaning)....anyway, it could do with some Amazon.com reviews for those of you who have read it. It is essentially the same book with some extra explanations and updated web links.
