Resource based economy

I thought the ideas of the Venus Project seem particularily relevant to this tribe, and the ideas behind it.
I would like to put some more time into discussing this, but at the moment I am deep within the process of a building an aquaponics system, (which also has large potential of being a great food supply for the city of dreams)

hehe, thier round city looks exactly like the one I drew :)

basicly, as per a comversation in the superorganism tribe, I feel this is inevitable, and as you can see, even people I've never heard of before are having the same ideas I am, its just a matter of finding the best arrangement of words to present the idea to the world.

I'm still a little confused on how you do trade with no money, I'll read deeper into it and see what they're saying in more detail.

    thanks Hayden

Povu the idea is not to need to trade. All people are granted the ability to receive or use resources merely by the fact of being born in the community/city/country.

Which seems like getting something for nothing--but on the other hand allows all people to pursue that which interests them most rather than struggling at something they hate merely to keep food on the table.....among a host of other advantages.

Who would do half a job or give poor service when they are doing what they truly love to do?

What crime would there be, what theft...if there was nothing you had to steal because it was already yours?

Such a resource based economy is, I think a great idea and can and have gone on at length about it. Technocracy came up with this idea during the great depression when it was clear that money no longer serves it's purpose in a rapidly growing technological society.

Sadly they were shot down by mainly a self serving greedy government that didnt want to lose their sweet deal. I know, that sounded bitter..anyway the upshot is that technocracy is almost a bad word in our society.

And when we consider that 90% of the world's resources are in the hands of 5% of the people..it is clear that even the richest would live better than they do now....especially with newfound freedom to explore and develop new technologies without hindrance of the price system.

It seems more sensical to call it a resource based economy anyway.
      IMO

In the song of our heart...shera
