Last nights ep "The Debarted" was great! Still solid as ever after all these years. My fave was Homer turning on both the heating & cooling inside his loaner car until a tiny weather system formed & created a tornado that chased him & Bart around the interior.

I saw it and loved it, especially the AC/heater storm front. Knowing that I seldom trust even my own opinion, I refered to our resident expert's take - in of itself another argumentative phallacy/appeal to authority.
Anyhoo, this tribe has actual contributors to the show and I somehow, for no good reason whatsoever, feel protective of their work...

Tue, March 4, 2008 - 12:28 PMI love the simpsons, just not all the time as with all things in life. A friend of mine used to work on the show and he would ask me how i really felt about episodes. He sought the truth, not false flattery. Your mileage may vary.
Packers won the 1st super bowl. Every other NFL team now chases the Lombardi trophy (named for the Packers' famous coach). Everyone else will always be #2 (imho), and every team will "suck" at some point in time (but i find that claiming a team "sucks" simply for being successful is rather adolescent).
