I popped the hood, check the level in the res. and released the "pressure" cap just to check I wasn't tripping. The res. had built up a lot ofpressure and since it is a sealed system I believe the cap was overloaded.

i'm posting for some advice - i have a line on a relatively inexpensive ($2500) 1988 Saab Turbo convertible.

i've heard that turbo chargers can be expensive to fix and finnicky to deal with.

any advice on this car? anything to watch out for when assessing it's value?

i think it's probably worth the $2500, as it's got a new top, alloy wheels, etc.

This is a HARADA AM/FM Fully Automatic Ebony Finish Power Antenna Model MXB-22 that fits Saab 900 (Except convertibles) upto 1993 and possible may work on other cars as well.

May require some modification for installation, depending on what model antenna was originally installed.

I bought this back in the fall of 2003 to replace the broken Antenna on my 93 900s, but alas, it lost its’ reverse and I never did fix it, so this just sat around gathering dust. Looks like you can get a nice cheep one on ebay with a
chrome mast, but if you’re like me and think that would just look silly on a Saab, you’ll be stuck looking at the more expensive OEM replacements or ones like this.

The kit includes a set of 5 black mounting bezels that will allow for five mounting angles (3, 8, 15, 23, or 30) so as to fit most vehicles. A metal mounting strap with 2 brass screws and one brass nut so to secure the base of the motor to the strap via a tapped brass mount and then to secure the strap to
the car panel, a 3” water drain tube, and the complete wiring harness that looks almost long enough to make it into the back seat.

I’m selling this “AS IS” since it is out of the manufactures 90 day limited warranty. But aside from taking the parts out of the box to see that everything was there, the box is as good as sealed. I’m asking $45 USD plus shipping via UPS to North Am. Please PM me if you are interested. I can email you photos of the parts upon request. I will not accept checks or money order from non-US banks. A PayPal payment would be preferred and would get it shipped
the fastest.

All of you classic 900 owners might be interested in knowing that not only is Saab currently developing a spiritual successor to the classic 900 Turbo...but doing so to replace the 9-2X.

Saab told the British magazine Auto Express that the new 900 "will be a hatchback, not a load-lugger, and that it will slot in beneath the 9-3 in the range, taking on rivals such as Audi's A3 and the BMW 1-Series. Set for launch in 2008, it will also form the basis of the next Impreza. That car will mark the arrival of diesel engines for the Japanese firm."

I am a recent Saab convert. I haven't bought a car in 13 years and then I decided that having passive restraint belts was not the latest in technology.

I test drove the BMW 3 Series and didn't like the trunk situation--then I tried the Jetta and didn't like the way it shifted. My Mom suggested trying the Saab and I fell for it! Everyone rags on the small cabin but I'm small and it's no problem. Plus my sales guy was six foot three and he didn't have a problem driving it.

I drove it to SF from Tucson and found it so much fun. I arrived within ten minutes of the time the car had projected.

Now the only drag is that I read in USA Today that new Saab owners would receive free lift tickets to Crested Butte. My dealer is pretending not to notice!

Does anyone out there have more info?
