All-Seeing Eye - Wire Wrapped Steampunk Pendant
28 May, 2009
The eye in my last piece got me thinking about the all-seeing eye on the pyramid, and the idea for this steampunk pendant was born. the frame is hand forged and hammered out of heavy sterling wire, then wrapped with many feet of fine silver wire, watch gears, and faceted gemstones. The rays eminating from the eye shoot away from the top of the pyramid pendant, and curls of wire wrapped filigree swirl in the vertices of the isosceles triangle frame.
The pendant is 1-1/2 inches in length, and hangs from a sterling silver rolo chain, with a section of double-eight chain wrapped onto on the end for adjustability. It adjusts from 18-20-1/2 inches, and a heart-shaped, faceted blue tourmaline adorns the end of the chain.
