It's the late 1800's. You have access to whatever technology you can dream up. You are part of a traveling band of balkan-gypsy-steam punk performers, including the loveliest bearded lady in the world, dazzling magicians and jugglers, and strange and beautiful dancers from far-off lands.

Want to join? The Mile High Riot is holding auditions, and we are looking for a few more "Rioters"!

Calling all actors, dancers (Burlesque, Belly, Ballet and Modern), contortionists, jugglers, knife throwers, acrobats, puppeteers, hula-hoopers, magicians, stilt walkers, object manipulators, poi spinners (no fire please) and sideshow spectacles -- if you have a talent and a desire to perform, we want to see it! If this project sounds interesting to you, we encourage you to audition.

The show will be Oct. 29-31, Halloween weekend 2009.

Even if you don't want to be in the show, we are encouraging attendees to dress up in thier finest attire.

1) Prepare a 3-5 minute performance piece appropriate to the show theme.
2) Come in appropriate costume attire. This does not have to be your final piece or costume. We want to know that you have access to the costuming quality we desire. Appropriate attire for this show draws influence from Steampunk ideals, Vaudeville and circus shows, and Balkan and neo-balkan attire.
3) A performance CV/resume is desirable, but not required.

Not a performer but want to be involved? We are looking for people who can dive in and help add to the overall atmosphere of our show.
