Hey friends,
I haven't been on a PC in years - and a friend of mine asked me where his plugins are supposed to go for Sound Forge (version 7) to recognize them. I can't for the life of me remember... well, things have changed since I was on PC... where do Sound Forge's DX plugins go? Which folder are they s'pose to be in?
Thanks in advance for any assistance! =)

Re: Sound Forge Plugins... where do they go?
Thu, January 25, 2007 - 7:33 PMnavigate to
D:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-ins
thats' for v 7.0
I have 8.0 but I don't want to install it until after I finish this
next DVD of mine because I don't want to disrupt my work flow ,
but the new version now supports VST plugins-------yeah!!!!!
and MIDI------yeah!!!!!!! -

Fri, January 26, 2007 - 5:12 PM8 is not such a huge step up from 7 Rick and when you update to the most recent version, it is quite cool. I haven't really messed with the midi but its use of 3rd party VST plugs is quite nice.

Thu, March 8, 2007 - 4:50 PMHey. I haven't used 7 and just updated to 8, but I think they need to go to this path--------My computer--program files--sound forge--plugins. -

Re: Sound Forge Plugins... where do they go?
Thu, March 8, 2007 - 5:47 PMThey are DX...the will install to c:\program usually but you need to refresh the pull down menu in sound forge to regroup new plug ins as they are installed...that is the key point..
