Interested in Having Hoopdance Classes in Your Area?

Hello San Gabriel Valley!

My name is Catherine Flournoy of Hoopadelic™ Hoopdance, a holistic hoopdance service provider in the Los Angeles area. Having spent most of my childhood growing up in the San Gabriel Valley (Monterey Park, Alhambra) I'm passionate to bring as many services to this part of LA County so residents don't feel left out from some of the really cool things that are happening on the Westside.

With that said I'd really love to bring hoopdance classes to a neighborhood or two (three, four, five.... ;)) near you! If you know of any dance studios, yoga studios, warehouse, venues, gymnasiums, ANYTHING that can hold a large group of bodies in motion then please send your requests and suggestions my way! Since I can't be at more than one place at a time (at least not in this dimension) I would LOVE to learn more about the various areas in the SGV through your suggestions. Thank you so much for your help! Let's make the San Gabriel Valley an ever growing place for cultural arts, entertainment and unique activities.

i don't know if the pasadena weekly still does it but they used to have a contest - they would show a picture of somewhere in pasadena and people could write in and guess where it was... i'm going to post pictures on my blog (most will be somewhere in the arcadia/pasadena/south pas area) and you all can guess where i was when i took it...

what do you win? my undying admiration... hey, i shave pussy for a living - i don't make enough dough to hand out prizes...

Howdy group, we've been pretty quiet lately. I was thinking one day we should all get together and battle out with the pasadenacalifornia.tribe.net/ Tribe in a miniture golf royale. Sure theres only 10 of us and 60 of them, and sure a few of us are in both groups, but it would be an epic battle we could tell our grandkids about.

Epic Mini Golf down at the course in the Arroyo. heheheh

Public Scales in EL MOnte...

THis is just a shot in the dark but...
If any of you are familiar with the EL Monte area,
There's an old house with a huge sign that reads
"PUBLIC SCALES"
on Valley boulevard right before the LA river bridge.
My Great Grandpa built that and most of the houses on that block.
My Mom grew up in the Public scale house.
THey had a coke machine and a candy machine in the living room
for the truckers that came through late night...
There's a street named after my Great grandpa...
it's called
Beuville, the family name is "Beu" (pronounced "boy")
this is just FYI,
a little piece of history in case anyone cares.
These old houses are now deserted... which makes me sad.
They were sold to developers back in the nineties, and were never 'developed'
okay,
that's it for now.

Excellent steak, fun atmosphere. DONT wear a tie, unless you want it cut off.

Importers Everywhere

Went to the Las Vegas gift show last week. I was amazed at how many wholesale import companies are based in the San Gabriel Valley.

If anyone wants Mardi Gras beads I have a source for getting 30lbs of beads (780 strands i think) for 27.00
