Abstract Earth Project

Trevor was influenced by the Detroit and Chicago house sounds that were so vibrant in Portland in the mid to late 90's. After a couple of years of nodding his head to beat, spending the afternoons in Portland's StarBass Records and watching the likes of Kenny Larkin, Traxx, Mike Huckaby, Staci Pullen, Doc Martin and Mark Farina work the decks for hours; Trevor knew it was time to get some of own decks. In 2000, Trevor started with two tech 12's and vestax p170a. Trevor is currently a member of Abstract Earth Project and is living in Seattle working as DJ/Promoter during the night. Over the last couple of years, Trevor has played along side with Johnny Fiasco, Justin Martin, Jazzy Eyewear, Mike Grant, Boo Williams, Hipp-E, Scud Bloom, Troydon, Gene Hunt and Brett Johnson.

Jen Woolfe began her DJ career in 2001, after realizing her favorite spot on the dance floor was 2 feet away from the DJ booth, watching the hands of every Deep and Tech House DJ that came to her hometown of Seattle. Soon after she picked up Deep Dish's Global Underground, she made the move to Progressive House, a genre that succumbs to her seductive style and intimate journeys.

Jen began to play for local clubs in early 2003. She also began promotions for events of her own, making a name for herself in both the club and party scene. In 2005, she teamed up with fellow musician Mel Sky to promote one of the most successful Afterhours monthlies Seattle has seen in recent years, the Leschi Lounge. At the same time, Jen returned to her Alt-Rock roots by fusing the dance and rock genres and tinting her style with elegant Electro.

Jen's versatility with genres allows her to play any time of night at any venue, so long as its House. After watching the DJs battle in the movie Juice in 1992, he said to
himself, "I can do this." Sen¢e began working with local Portland
hip-hop artists in the mid-to-late 90's, and became more involved with the 'underground' movement. He soon bought himself a set of turntables and began to teach himself how to beat match and mix. By 1999, he attended his first 'rave' and grew to really love the family-oriented vibe that was associated with the scene. In 2000, he went into hiatus only to come back out two years later. With some much time on his hands, what better way to utilize that time than practice? It wasn't until the latter part of 2004 that Lance began to meet many promoters and DJs who were in love with music as he was. When you enter a DJ'ing competition, having never DJ'd before, and get to the finals, you know you must have chosen the right career path - Krafty Kuts was born. Having been responsible for the massively successful Finger Lickin' Funk EP, remixes of Flint and 2InDaBush as well as DJ'ing regularly under the Finger Lickin' banner, Martin is now firmly part of the Finger Lickin' family.

He was voted Best International DJ at the Australian Dance Music Awards and the Face of Breaks 2003 at the International Breakspoll Awards. These were the ultimate accolades for his efforts. However, this success didn't just happen overnight.

Krafty Kuts' first ventures on the wheels of steel occurred in the mid 80's when he was bitten by the hip-hop and Electro bug. It was during this period that he developed his cutting and scratching skills, which are now a trademark of his party rocking sets.

While Krafty Kuts was rocking down the house with his DJ skills, he was also busy working on his own music. In 1996 he was signed to FSUK, one of the Ministry of Sound's offshoot labels. 3 EP's were released to critical acclaim, along with 'Gimme the Funk'; a one-off release for Fatboy Slim's label Southern Fried that was hammered by every DJ worth their salt. The success of these releases led to Krafty Kuts becoming one of the most in demand remixers within the UK dance music scene. Today, the list of people Krafty Kuts has remixed reads like an A-List, including the likes of Jurassic 5, Utah Saints, Arthur Baker, Eric B & Rakim and the classic 'Humanoid' by Stakker Humanoid. His remixing talents were cemented at the 2003 International Breakspoll Awards, where he won Best Remix for Afrika Bambaataa's 'Funky Heroes'. As well as dishing out killer remixes, he's also managed to compile 'Slam The Breaks On' 1 & 2, both classic overviews of the breakbeat sound.

Whilst producing and remixing, Krafty Kuts has also managed to maintain his Djing commitments the world over, playing alongside such luminaries as Fatboy Slim, The Freestylers, Jungle Brothers, Scratch Perverts and Roni Size. Amazingly, Krafty still manages to hold down his residency club at Supercharged.

Krafty's seminal music has been used for a Coca-Cola advert, Playstation 2, and for Guy Ritchie's film 'Mean Machine'. In 2003, he, along with production partner A Skillz, released their album 'Tricka Technology' on Finger Lickin' Records to critical acclaim featuring hip hop legend Kurtis Blow as well as new talents Real Elements and ever reliable funky bass player Dr Luke.

Today, Krafty Kuts is still working harder than ever. At the 2004 and 2005 Breakspoll Awards he took out the much coveted BEST DJ award and has been booked solid ever since. Amongst competing a killer remix for Deepcut, Krafty has found time to DJ all over the world and work on his much anticipated artist album, due for release in 2006. Krafty is presently working on his debut solo album on Against the Grain featuring collaborations with Tim Deluxe, Ashley Slater, Be Spoke, Dynamite MC, Dr. Luke, A.Skillz and the Scratch Perverts, among others. If you would like a ride we can either split gas (if you have a driver's license & can drive a stick shift) or you can pick up the bulk of the gas expenditure if you can't drive. Gas will probably run 50 to 60 bucks each way (I drive a compact car so it isn't outrageous) & I DO have a CD player.

Mocean Worker, the recording alias of jazz producer Adam Dorn. Adam, a bass player and vocalist, studied at Berkley College of Music and worked extensively in the music industry as well, with artists ranging from David Sanborn to Hal Willner to Chaka Khan. Dorn's father Joel was one of the stalwart producers at Atlantic Records during the 1960s and '70s, helming sessions by John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, and numerous other jazz pioneers during that very prolific period. The Mocean Worker project came about almost by accident, the results of a series of half-serious recording sessions. After realizing the quality of the music he'd created, Dorn released his first Mocean Worker album Home Movies from the Brain Forest in 1998 on the punk label Conscience. Dorn later moved to the Island subsidiary Palm Pictures for his second, Mixed Emotional Features in 1999. Aural & Hearty was issued the following year

Landis had a major computer crash a couple of weeks ago and and had to format his hard drive, he was unable to back up the the Excell spreadsheet with the forthcoming lineups. I am in dyer need of a truck....I moved out of my old place and into my new place and unfortunately I couldn't fit a couple of things in the moving van, they require the use of a truck bed. I have a box spring, metal bed frame and a small shelf....what I need is for someone to be willing to pick me up and take me to the old place, I'll load it and then you drive me back and I'll unload it. I am willing to compensate for gas and cook you a meal for you're time. Please, if you can, help. My old roommate will throw it all out if I don't pick it up by NOV. 13. I have a very flixable schedule so I can work around anything.....

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Moore's show will consist of his monologue, interaction with the audience,
and a few surprise guests. He will read letters he's received from soldiers
in Iraq (published in his new book, "Will They Ever Trust Us Again --
Letters from the War Zone"), offer prizes for people who register to vote,
and conduct the "world's largest karaoke sing-a-long" to John Ashcroft's
"Let the Eagle Soar." At many venues Moore will show as yet-unseen clips
from his "Fahrenheit 9/11" DVD (to be released October 5), and give everyone
present a chance to win their own "pet goat."

"It should be a lot of fun," said Moore. "Most Americans don't vote, and
it's not all that hard to understand why. So, I'd like to offer them some
incentives to give it a try, just this once. The 50% who are the non-voters
are never called by pollsters and are usually ignored by candidates. Should
just a few percentage points of the 100 million non-voters decide to show up
on November 2 -- watch out." Moore said his goal is to see that over 56%
of the voting public votes in this election -- something that has not
happened since 1968.

"It is not the wealthy and the elite who don't vote," added Moore. "The
non-voters are the poor, the disenfranchised, the single moms and young
people. I am calling for a non-voter uprising, led by thousands of campus
slackers who proudly sleep 'til noon and who believe papers are for rolling,
not reading. They are rightfully cynical, but this year their motto will be:
"Bush and Kerry Both Suck -- That's Why I'm Voting for John Kerry!"

With a number of venues already sold out, over 600,000 people are expected
to show up on his tour. Early word of Moore's tour has already sparked
protests by campus Republicans and two schools have already caved to
pressure to cancel Moore's event. "I understand why some Bush supporters
might be upset," Moore reflected. "I would be, too, if I only had a few
weeks left in power."

MOVING PARTY!!!!!!

I need help moving my stuff from Portsmouth and Lombard to 67th and Glisan on Sunday Oct 10 around 2 pm. I need people with muscles who can help lift the heavy things and people with a van and or truck to transport it in. I would like to conclude the day with a huge veggie and vegan feast at my new place..I have rommies so everything is already set up.....one of my rommates has agreed to spin some records for us...PLUS>> I am making vegan and veggie dessert tooo.......You can't pass that up.....So PLEASE if you can help let me know I really could use the extra hand, and I'm sure my cooking will make it worth your while....the more the merrier so you can bring a friend too....Thanks for your support guys...Dani

There is something that will be missing in my life for a few weeks....Devotion! I have began my new job and am really loving it! There was a reason for the long wait without work. There was a dream job waiting for me!

When I get caught up from sleep dep from the Love Parade weekend and get used to waking up early again, I will come down and hang with all of you awesome peeps again! (just not so late anymore!)
