They have an image to uphold and they will charge you a higher price than if you call the hotel direct. The hotel knows that it may have a lot of empty rooms and will take less to make something instead of nothing.
You should know to check several travel agents about prices to fly. Most people think the sales automatically go to the agents, but they only have in their computers what they put in it. Different agencies specialize in different packages. -
