<div>Izabella will be returning home for the first time since the end of January for a special two-night run at Marilyn's. It will be a great weekend showcasing great local artists and some of our friends. Friday will have Gazelles, featuring Garrin Benfield, Sam Flot and KC Taylor, start things off from 8:30-9pm and they will also play in between Izabella sets. Friday night will also have good friends 2Me (www.myspace.com/2me) taking the stage after Gazelles. 2Me is making big strides locally and will be touring again this fall so check them out if you haven't seen them! 2Me and Izabella will be teaming up again for the Concert in the Park series this summer so stay posted for details. Izabella will play two sets to round out the evening. <br/> <br/>Saturday night will feature another two full sets of Izabella. Opening the night is recent Sacramento addition Kate Gaffney (www.myspace.com/kategaffney). Kate is an incredible singer/songerwriter that recently moved to the area and is quickly building a great reputation. She will be joined by her full band and it will a nice treat for Saturday night. Our good friend and another incredible singer/songwriter Aaron Lincoln will play in between Izabella sets. <br/> <br/>Come and check out a full weekend of music in Sacramento. We were kicking around ideas about what kinds of markets are ideal for which types of things, and we got to discussing how the vast majority of stoners we've ever encountered enjoy 2Me's music. <br/> <br/>2 hours later we're sitting here at the Baltimore Public Library, and I decided to check out Hightimes.com, just to see what kinds of stuff they're promoting these days....turns out they've got an "Unsigned Band of the Week." Perfect. <br/> <br/>Check out the official rules: <br/> <br/>OFFICIAL RULES <br/> <br/>1) Band must not be signed to any label larger than a breadbasket. Seriously, if you created the label yourself, don't sweat it. If the label has an office, you're out. <br/> <br/>2) Band must write and perform original music. NO COVER BANDS. If you have to ask, then yes, you are a cover band. <br/> <br/>3) Band must have a photo and at least three mp3's on their website. <br/> <br/>4) Band must gig regularly and have a schedule posted online to prove it. <br/> <br/>5) Band must enthusiastically agree to receive this honor. <br/> <br/>....SO, as you see, we fit this criteria to a T.
