Anyone seen / using this?

Weird. You get a plug in for Firefox which records all your surfing habits, which are then stored in a central server?
Why?
Here's the pitch : bokardo.com/archives/att...ghtful-owner/

Re: AttentionTrust / Root.Vault
Thu, November 10, 2005 - 12:49 AMI've got it running right now. You can actually store your clickstream locally and not share it w/any one if you don't want to. It's interesting to see all that's collected. It also provides a toggle on the navigation toolbar that lets you turn it on and off.
Considering that so many sites and ad networks are already tracking this sort of info on us, it's nice to imagine that perhaps it doesn't have to be that way. That perhaps we can take control of our own info and begin providing it to those we choose. Even consider the idea of having this mandated through legislative action as a means to address privacy issues, where citizens can begin deciding who they will share their clickstream info with, and one can imagine economic models developed around businesses making it desirable for one to share this information willingly. -

Thu, November 10, 2005 - 12:55 AMOh yeah, and you may also want to check out what Seth Goldstein and Greg Yardley, both of Root Markets, have to say about this on Seth's blog at majestic.typepad.com/seth/ .
I'd also recommend that you go back and read Seth's 5 part blog posts titled "Media Futures" starting at majestic.typepad.com/seth/20...ata.html . It provides some good background on his interesting ideas.

Your post led me on a three hour journey; a very worthwhile journey, too. Thank you.
