"And the courtship ritual goes as such: The boy will sneak into the girl's bedchamber and awaken her by pouring buckets of water on her head. He will then whip her legs with a switch, all of this in hopes of winning her heart through his romantic endeavors."
It sounds like something written for a fake comedy-documentary on a ridiculous foreign culture. -
