Have you ever tryed it? I think it works great. I use it when i need to sleep. But when it first starts to work and i am not a sleep i feel high, and its werid and fun all at the same time.

Sat, March 27, 2004 - 8:17 AMi started taking it about a week ago. i don't have insurance so it's really really expensive but i pretty much have to take it every night or i won't sleep. i agree that there's that period right before sleep happens that a dizzy high sorta fun feeling happens. not bad... certainly don't get that from unisom (or the zzzzzzzzs from unisom for that matter)

Fri, July 15, 2005 - 4:33 PMi used to take ambien a few years ago..it made me nasty and gave me "memory blackouts"..like some of u have said, when u r not asleep u feel high and r having a fun time..u r actually feeling a drunk sensation without the hangover..i read this in an article years ago when i said to my husband one night while on ambien--"you r a mean horrible person and i want u to get the fuck out of this house"..he wouldnt talk to me the next day and i had no idea why..this was the 10mg. pills..until he tyold me what i said i had no idea..he didnt believe me until i found the article about ambien..
it does work btu be careful when u take it and dont go to sleep when u should and the withdrawl is crazy but luckily i was given klonopin for my anxiety which helps me sleep!!! and it is fun when u feel the high..just dont say anything to yr husband while on it!!!!!..lol -

Thu, May 22, 2008 - 4:03 PMIt's fantastic, but for a while I got addicted to using it during the day to be on "autopilot" and not have so much anxiety. The 10 mg made me say weird things and act like I was drunk, but with 5 mg I was calmer and no one seemed to notice. I'm not sure if that has any long-term effects on functioning...but the side effect of fewer inhibitions can be a little unfortunate. I've said things I later wished I hadn't.
