so i had kinda noticed I was hearing less of those 230am chopper flyovers and in todays sfgate i see this in a report about something else=

"Budget issues forced the department to ground the aircraft earlier this year except in an emergency."

Oakland PD can't fly their bird at all hours over the whole east bay for no reason any more.

ha ha. I hate hearing that stupid thing.
it doesn't need to be in the air all the time, if it's all the way over north berkeley it cant get to south oakland any faster than if it was sitting at oakland airport ready to go, and none of us need the noise and air pollution
