i have heard that sometimes doing a juice fast is risky cuz it "shakes loose" the toxins in your body, but since there's not much fiber there's no real way for the toxins to get out of your system. Does anyone know about this? Should you take some extra fiber or do a colonic or something?

Re: juice fast
Mon, January 21, 2008 - 10:53 AMthe first fast I did was a five day straight juice fast and it was a little rough (especially on day 3). If you have some money you might want to order one like those sold www.blessedherbs.com/ it will be an easier way to fast and will have stuff to escort the toxins out. After making it though my first juice fast now it is easy for me to fast. If it gets too tough you can always stop and try again at another time . . .

Re: juice fast
Tue, February 19, 2008 - 3:21 PMI'm about to start a 92-day juice feast (as opposed to the scarier word of fast) -- if you're using a juicer, the pulp is the fiber, it's not in your juice...if your using a blender..strrin it..and that contains the fiber...so you're not really ingesting fiber -- but the best source of information is Davis Rainoshek of www.globaljuicefeast.com or juicefeasting.com -- it is recommended to do enemas while ingesting only juice -- but fire him off a question - he's always so happy to reply...and hey he's got his M.A. in this...
