    Hey sooz,

Thanks for the link! No I haven't read the book, but I sure have applied some of the concepts to my life. I think eating a raw vegan diet requires a lot of creativity in the kitchen, and some recipes are surprisingly tasty with incredble zest for life and life force!

When I'm doing a detox (which I try to do 2-3 times a year near the solstices or equinoxes) I start out by doing a week of being vegetarian, followed by a week of being vegan, followed by a week of being a raw vegan, and then do a week of fresh juicing! Then to slowly and gradually go back to my way of eating, I do it in reverse (1 week raw vegan, one week vegan, one week vegetarian). Then for as long as I can manage, I try to do 90% vegan (10% eggs, fish and very sparingly clean meat). This is best done in the summer time when you have access to lots of farmers markets and fruit you can pick. Its much harder in the winter when your body is craving warm and warming foods.

It's also easier to do if you're in an environment where you don't depend on eating out or eating with others.

I need to do one soon, after all the holiday eating!

    T
