I dont have a juicer (yet....working on it).....so Im using my blender/food processor

my brother and I have concocted a juice we use to reinvigorate ourselves if we are tired, or for a hangover, for an illness, for centerdness and balance, et cetera..

ginger, cayenne (fresh chiles mentioned earlier sounds better, though), lemon/lime/orange (either one, or a combination.....whatever you have), local (raw) honey, garlic, and maybe a pinch of kosher (or sea) salt......different amounts of ginger, cayenne (chiles), and garlic determine the strength and "burn" of the drink....guess that last bit is pretty obvious

Before I was on coumadin I used to love beets, kale and cabbage mixed with other things. Very healthy.

Now I do the same things alot. I combine carrots, apples, lemon, lime, and sometimes add other things like strawberries or cucumbers.

Has anyone juiced a potato before? Is that good for you?

I just made some Apple, grape and beet juice yesterday. YUM!! A little sweet but the beet balanced it out quite nicely. I love beets but I try not to use them too much as I have heard this can be a bad thing.

Yay! I just joined this tribe and I'm getting a juicer in about a week when I get some $$$.

My friend had a "juice party" where there were like 3 juicers set up and everyone brought all kinds of fresh fruits and veggies, and made a bunch of different combos, some with liquors. :)

The one that hooked me was rubarb, green apple, and cucumber. It was super sour, tart and sweet, although the cucumber mellowed it a bit!! Probably not all the nutritional value in the world, but it was like an orgasm in my mouth, it was so good!!!

I can't wait to get my juicer and start trying out all these great ideas!!!
