Thu, September 13, 2007 - 4:48 PMThat depends where you're going and staying. The 'plenty of money' suggestion is apt as the pound is roughly double what the American dollar is, but unfortunately prices are also higher.

Re: Coming out this Oct.
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 9:45 PM$100 a day is the equivalent of £50, so you should be able to survive on that. There are plenty of cheap eateries around (although not as cheap as you're probably used to). Docklands is a good location -you can get into Central London on the DLR very easily. Travel cards are around £5.40 (I think) from that zone.
If you want to go to exhibitions or gigs get Time Out ... or check Eventful ... there's usually something going on, and quite often there are free events happening all around.
Hope you have a great time! -

Wed, September 19, 2007 - 8:16 AMI saw some cheap places to stay near Oxford street, I could be totally wrong, of course I didn't know anything as I stayed at the Waldorf Hilton, courtesy of my AMEX friend. -

Re: Coming out this Oct.
Tue, September 25, 2007 - 2:15 AMre travel. get an oyster card, not a travel card as its half price travel. if you travel a lot on one day it automatically changes into a travel card. i think you can buy them in advance at a discount? but anyway they only cost £3 deposit. the only place you cant use them is on overland trains. anyway there easy to use www.tfl.gov.uk/oyster
loads of cheap eats in london and dont forget all museums and gallerys are free! (except special exchibitions)
tips! make sure you use a river boat! and as your in doclands do go to greenwich (markets/park/observatory/international date line) and get a boat there up river... can go all way to hampton court! but at least westminster... ps oyster cant be used here either... durrr... but its worth it! and cheap! also you can get boat/london eye combined tickets! thats well worth it!
also lots of clubs have cheap nights/discounts with flyers and so on... have alook out and get time out guide!
have fun!
