the free pile overfloweth!

I've made a personal vow to rid myself of at least one thing every day this month. Except for the days that I am out of town, I'll be putting some rad stuff in the free pile. So far, it's been graced with a bed of nails, two pairs of stilts a bunch of circuitboards and a box of fresh food.

Today I was rather industrious and now there's a car stereo, bouncy shoes, a bag of fabric, my favorite shopping cart chair (sniff), a bunch of steel, a beedazeller, computer, a tarot deck and some flashlights!

I'm really hoping that it reaches some good homes and does not head straight for the dumpster before everyone gets their pickins. So, head over, check your mail and pick through the huge pile.

More to come.

    NVM.

Some jerk-ass punk threw it all in teh dumpster. Sorry. I'm posting stuff here, then taking it to goodwill if no one speaks up for it from now on.

Which reminds me, I still have a lot of nice pristing felt to offer up! Anyone? Ghosts?

        uh... yeah.

funny how a cheap plastic flourescent light cover can fall down and shatter in one hallway and stay there in pieces for DAYS, while a working computer (certainly not a fancy one, but good enough to get online and do other basic functions) gets thrown into the trash within hours of being placed in the free area!

as far as I can tell, the "managers" simply do not care.

Yeah- it looks like the new policy is to throw everything away right away. The old policy of never fixing anything is still in place though.

I'm going to start my new policy of not giving a shit.

Chris seems to get off on expressing his ownership of things like the rock pile, but then does nothing to maintain it. Presently, there are rocks all over the back parking lot, making a mess of everything. If he cared, he would sweep it up. Allegedly, he's been hassling some of the other neighbors about plants and such, expressing his dissatisfaction with their quality of maintenance, and going so far as to impede on their space and do what he feels is best.

I know that they read this tribe since they have commented on it (hi), but don't feel the need or desire to take part in community discussions for whatever reason they choose. Instead, they communicate to us through pieces of paper printed with ink that runs when it gets wet and they leave it on my door in the rain so that it becomes illegible. But, apparently leaving a note under their door is a violation of some sort and they become fuming mad. Dood! You should hear my voicemail!

It's so one-sided around here that it's completely frustrating to me. I've finally reached the point of not caring. Perhaps that was their goal. Perhaps they finally won.

And my new policy of not giving a shit is going to be

un-dumpstering the quality reebies that were not allowed to preside in the free area for their natural 48 hr lifespsan.

              1 - A free area
2- You guys get the benefit of my schwag editing
3 - and we assert ourselves while wrangling back pathetic, absurdist symptoms of neurotic pathology.

              win- wiN - WIN !!
