I really would like to know which is the best faires and why
what would everyone like to see at a faire?
thinking of opening up some private land I own, and would like to know what the "families" would like to see and have

Re: which of the barterfaires are the "I can't miss it"?
Mon, September 17, 2007 - 10:48 PMI feel like the Okanogan faire is a must see! The faire provides many many different things, one could say that it meets as many different needs as there are individuals who attend it. I recommend going and checking it out for yourself!
As far as festivals and comparison, its worth attending the Oregon Country Fair, and going to Burning Man. Different intentions create very different results, all tribal, but each distinctly unique.
Enjoy! And you decide to have a faire, let us know! -

Re: which of the barterfaires are the "I can't miss it"?
Tue, October 23, 2007 - 3:07 PMEach faire has its own special atmosphere. I love the Okanogan Family Faire because it's always an adventure, there are so many people and so many unique things to see, and the food is amazing. It's probably one of the largest so it's a can't miss in my book. I love the Santa faire in Idaho because it's a small family atmosphere - the potluck is my favorite part. I've also heard great things about the Montana faire, especially the location (near hot springs) and the good vibes. I hope to attend it next year, as well as the Hope Mountain faire in Oregon.
We'd like to get some land in the next few years and hopefully start a small faire too. Good luck with it, the more barter faires the merrier!
