I'm going to have to start heading into the Financial District for some meetings.
Any suggestions for the best places to park a bike?

Sun, October 18, 2009 - 8:33 PMI think the Embarcadero garages are good places, but you have to get there really early in the a.m. Another moto-friendly garage is the City-owned one up on Bush St., just below Stockton and above Grant. I think another is the Crocker Galleria, on Sutter, just below Kearny. Most private garages tend to refuse motos. Have read on BARF recently that moto street parking has opened up, like along Sansome (near Market). Best to check on SF's parking web page, because some months back moto parking costs rose sharply (and the tickets for expired meters are high too). Some meters require prepaid cards. Don't forget a good wheel lock and to remember it's there before you ride off. -

Ten years ago I used to park under some underpass, and never got tickets.
I guess that's changed since then, eh? -

Mon, October 19, 2009 - 4:55 PMYou know with all the folks wandering around down town you best park in a public place or a parking structure. The Hotel idea might sound lame, but it's worth a try I think. The public parking structures that she was talking about are way better than on the street IMHO.
