The new parking machines print out a receipt, and you're supposed to put them under the windshield.
But exactly are motorcyclists _supposed_ to do?
Are we supposed to wedge the receipt under the seat and hope it doesn't blow away?

I don't think they even thought hard about what motorcycles ought to do. I haven't heard about how to best deal with this either. So far I haven't been ticketed for not having a receipt, and I'm sure as hell going to fight it if it becomes an issue.

Thu, October 8, 2009 - 10:23 AMOld trick for anyone that lives near a tool road. I always have a small office paper clip ( wwwdelivery.superstock.com/WI/2...0.jpg ) tucked out of the way on the handlebar somewhere to hold bills or a note with an address. -

My plan was to continue not to pay, and fight a ticket if I got one.
But I was sincerely curious what the city government expected.
I did another search, and got some answers.
Chicago expects you to carry around a roll of scotch tape and tape it to your headlight.

Seattle says that one should ideally pay with a credit card to have proof that you paid for the parking, but admits that you probably have the ability to dispute the ticket if you claim you paid in cash.
