What degree is your Venus?

topic posted Sat, December 25, 2004 - 10:24 AM by  Incendiary
Thought it might be interesting to compare synastry between Venuses, as well as any other planets/positions in Taurus.
We may even be able to look at how pertinent the decants of Taurus are in relation to position of Venus.
I'll go first: Venus at 23 degrees, 53 minutes.
Taurus rising - 15 degrees.

    Actually mine is at 29 Deg. Aries. Midheaven and Lilith are conj @ 1 Deg. Taurus Opp. Pluto... I like to consider this an important aspect in my chart. Maybe some karma issues. I'm aspiring to live and love in the Taurean mindset. ; )

            New girl to this tribe...adore my taurus venus..and it's getting better with age i must say.
            Venus in Taurus :: 17deg 7min
            Moon in Taurus :: 12 deg 25 min
            Juno in Taurus :: 25 deg 8 min
            Venus opp Neptune in scorp(mid hvn) & trine pluto in virgo (7th hse)
            It's always interesting how taurus venus energy mixes with the rest of your chart and for me the moon being in taurus really amps up the feelings & the emotion of that. She's exaulted in Taurus of course and, yeah, quite a force.

    My Venus in (capricorn) is 02'01 and conjunct my descendant(sagittarius/capricorn cusp) plus it's Out of Bounds. Which makes me want to keep peace in my interactions with other people. Also, I love venusian type people and I seem to attract them.
    My venus is also in capricorn decanate and dwad.
    I only have one planet in the Taurus Dwad and that's my neptune in sagittarius, it's Decan is in Aries.

    My Venus is at 1 deg 54 of Taurus. Ascendant 27 deg Scorpio.

    My ruler Pluto is in Libra, and my descendant being in taurus, 7th house ruled by Venus, venus in Taurus, My Venus is opposing Pluto in Libra... So, Venus pluto, scorpio taurus stuff seems to be pinging back an forth in my chart, all to do with relationships. I can account for this, as the relationships I have had, have very much had this 'pingin back and forth' nature. Extreme boat rocking, usually not on my part, on my partners parts (no puns are intended here...really).

    What I found interesting about my chart is, my descendant is pretty much conjunct a fixed star called 'Capult Algol', which is traditionally situated at 26 deg taurus. I quote this from,

    "Primitive female sexuality; strangulation, beheading, danger to throat and neck, murder, violence, mass catastrophe; the "Evil One", the Demon Star; passionate; intense; hysterical. Also associated with extreme creativity, an expression of the Dark Side"

    Now casting aside 'the evil one' and 'demon star', I have experienced these things related to women (females) in my life. I will list to coalate:
    All my partners seemed to have this primitive female sexuality. Well, its there for every woman to tap into, but, either I drew it out of them, or they had (have) already functioning and on all cylinders. Also, as a child, i was overly sexual, sensual, and day dreamed obssessively about other girls in my class. I was very aware of sex at a young age, and on more then one occasion manipulated other kids I knew at that time when parents were not around, to strip and do stuff, boys and girls. Now, I knwo this is actually more common then most people want to admit, as parent dont liek the thought of their kids doing sexual stuff at age 4 or 5 etc, but I did seem to be the instigator. Another thing I feel related to female sexuality, is a females singin voice. While staying at a buddhsit monastery, the women were sectioned to the other half of the hall adjascent to the men in every meditation meeting. Mostly everyone sang together, but one night there was some moon worship thing, and only the woman sang. It did something very starneg to me as I close dmy eyes and listened, intently. It had a very different affect to the usual drone of males voices. Their singing, or 'chanting' seemed to induce and odd state in me, and I felt what I read about afterwards, the Kundalini rising, it was very sexual, almost erotic, but I did not feel the usual lust associated with male sexuality, it was very 'heavenly', yet base and dark, earthly at the same time. The kundalini seemed to awaken each 'chakra' until it got to my head then I felt a kind of explosion and seemed to 'get high' fromt he experience.

    At around the age of 12, a younger girl kept verbally bullying me, saying quite nasty things. One day she pushed it too far, and would not let me pass. something in me snapped, and I placed my hands around her neck, and started to squeeze gently. I remember not having the intention to kill her, but wanted to inform her that she had pushed it too far, and to scare her out of her wits. I let go of her after her face went red and could see the terror in her eyes. I felt very guilty after but she never said anythign to me after that.

    The second relationship I was in, my gf at taht time had some violent unconscious tendancies in her, that seemed to come out in hallucinations, or percieving another realm altogether, whichever way you like to look at things. she would see, humanoid figures, without any skin, revealing just muscle and cartilage and bone. The would suddenly appear to her, standing and staring at her, sometimes pointing at her. I knew she had seen one sometimes as although she wouldnt immediately say anything, she would suddenly yelp and grab me and seemed terrified, trembling, clasping onto me. At first a part of me questioned if she had fabricated it from a young age to compensate for her violent father and for lack of attention. But, she seemed genuinely terrified. Once we were walkign along in our local town together, she had noticed I had noticed a very attractive business lady walking past us, and as the woman walked infront of us, my gf at the time mumbled and cursed her, being jellous of her obvious beauty, and said out loud she wished she could watch that woman fall over..... low and behold, the womans heal suddenly broke and she almost did topple over, but luckely regained her balance, and had to walk in an akward manner. this gf was also very creative, often painting, and writing.

    My recent ex gf, had an extremely powerful imagination, so much so that she had imaginary friends. She admitted to me she talked to them on the train sometimes, and people would stare at her thinking she was crazy, then suddenly she would realise what she had been doing and act normal. This was a woman in her late 20's. yet, this woman was in no way 'dark', infact i had become the dark one during that time and I remember she acted as a healing force in my life during my time with her. I was also extremely creative then. The stuent acccomadation where I was living at the time, some people asked me to draw them, they offered to pay me. In one class at college, someone remarked how they thought a pice of artwork i had created was disgusting. The art i was interested in then was very dark, violent, stuff like francis Bacon.

    My current gf has venus in scorpio conjunct pluto. She is can be highly volatile emotionally, but does not express any of the immature darkness I had previously experienced. She is (was) extremely creative. Our relationship emotionally has gone through some very,. very dark moments. I had turned away form much of that violent dark art before I met her.

    Another thing, 7th house and descendant rules relating to people in general. I have always had quite extreme reactions from people growing up, often having to keep my wits to not get into some very horrid situations, using intuition to steer clear of potentially violent people and situations. Once after having had a disagreement with a collegue at a job, a few nights later walkign past the shop, it was closed at this time, i walked passed a local park, just taking a night stroll, through an alleyway into a street.. suddenly a car seemed to come from nowhere, I felt it's 'intention' seemingly from the driver directed at me, and looked around to realise it was heading towards me gaining speed, I reacted without thinking and ran, luckely a few concrete pillars that had been set to stop people driving up onto the road for the shop workers stopped them from driving into me, they had to stop before the concrete pillars. I heard doors opening, looked round, and saw every door was open with dark figures hurridly getting out of each door. I ran away as fast as I could. Luckily, I have alays been a very fast runner, and good at long distance. whatever happened, I didnt turn round, just kept running. They did not catch me. There have been other incidents but I wont go into them now and this incident is the most serious.

    "Primitive female sexuality; strangulation, beheading, danger to throat and neck, murder, violence, mass catastrophe; the "Evil One", the Demon Star; passionate; intense; hysterical. Also associated with extreme creativity, an expression of the Dark Side" - Although maybe not to such an obvious physical extreme, these things have been prominent on some levels growing up, though as everythignis moving and constantly evolving, and we have prgoressed ascendants progressed venus etc, so much of it just doesnt exist any more, never the less I have had to conquer some nasty things in and around my life, not through physical force, but through mental determination, will power, and sensitivity and understanding. I believe partly a lot of what I have been through has led me to be able ot deal with the partner I am with now. She has many emotional disturbances. I believe my Venus in Taurus (and opposing saturn) is perfect for acting as a stabaliser for her Venus in scorpio conjunct pluto. I understand a lot of her inner issues as I have experienced such similar feelings and events (venus opposing pluto), and the des in taurus, conjunct Caput Algol, mas kep tme on my toes psychologically, witnessing and experiencing some very primitive urges, feelings, people, incidents.

    another quote form;

    "These examples demonstrate that having Algol represented on a chart does not necessarily mean that you will inflict, or be the victim of, horror and mayhem...but that you will be aware of the depths of suffering that can occur, whether through human depravity or "Acts of God"; and you will not be able to ignore suffering and horror, or brush it aside; your life path will require that you come to terms with that level of experience. A jounalist might be assigned to cover tragedies, while a clergyman might be called upon to comfort the victims and their families. A black child might hear of the horrors of slavery, and a Jewish child might grow up with the awareness that his grandparents perished in the Holocaust. A police officer might assist victims of a natural disaster, or a medical student be assigned to work in a trauma center (the medical term for the study of pain is "Algolology"!). The Algol placement on a chart insists upon a confrontation and assimilation of these harsh aspects of human experience in this lifetime. The polarities of bigotry or tolerance, violence or kindness, cruelty or compassion, war or peace are issues that are unavoidable and must be dealt with under Medusa.

    As a light shining in the darkness,

    a star is a symbol of the spirit.

    It stands for the forces of the spirit

    struggling against the forces of darkness.

    -Cirlot, Dictionary of Symbols

    Some of the fixed stars are harsh, yes. But to a purpose. Each defines an area that will be tapped for good or ill; the tests are intense and unavoidable. Algol, like the other stars, confers tasks upon us which, if comprehended and accepted, offer great rewards of power and creativity. These stellar challenges are not to be feared, but understood and used in a positive manner."
