She got inspired. My favorite one featured a pair of deer with very human looking faces. They are from the side but their heads are turned to face the viewer and they look very concerned. The buck is looking back and the doe is looking right in the eyes of the viewer. Claire says they just heard gunshot. A very powerful picture.

She does line drawings all the time...always has. Periodically we get inspired to make them into coloring books, when we have a bunch done just in black pen that are copy worthy.

Homeschool gives us lots of time for art, which is priceless.

I have to share the fun activities in my classroom of late. I can't take credit for this idea, but here goes: When we are learning about mixing colors I put out and old blender in front of the classroom and let the kids take turns deciding which primary colors we will put in there. I press the blend button and Presto blue and yellow becomes green! The kids get so excited. I go around and pour out the colors so they can experiment with the new secondary colors.
