In essence this means that although you will get more gain from your heat source while it is in use, the heat won’t be retained afterward, so you will cool down quickly. And this will get you into a repeating cycle of too hot, too cold all night long.
A radiant barrier would be effective with constant heat and venting, such as a fireplace, and open Tono. Or if you have a large thermal mass in the yurt to store the heat.
But it is truly effective only when combined with an insulation barrier as well.
