Is everybody sleeping or what. No post here in forever.Well the weather is finally changing.And my little wind test is over.I put my yurt up in the yard with just the roof in place to see how it would stay with just a few stakes tied to the tension cable and threaded down through the wall and the stakes drove in just under the wall.well it never moved so much as an inch.However the tarp didn't fair as well.sometimes it looked like a giant mushroom out there blowing in the wind.It lifted almost half the trusses off the wall but never caved in.Not bad for a home made camping yurt.i guess the modifications i made to the design were good ones.What i did different was drilled two sets of holes one just below the ring and one at the kahanna,and ran a rope all way around and tied it off this sorta bonded everything together so it couldn't fall apart.
