Somebody here said they used a swimming pool cover as a roof. Care to elaborate? I have been looking at them on line and they come in various sizes and types. If I am building a 16 footer, would the 16 foot cover be the right one? I read it is 20' finished. Would hang down 2 feet all around, or does that get eaten up by the ceiling height? Also, Would this also make a good ground cloth?

Re: Swimming pool covers as roofs
Thu, January 11, 2007 - 3:05 PMno bad pool cobers are a tad larger than the pool size by like 2 or 3 feet. so for a 16 footer you need at least 20 or 21 foot dia cover which is an 18 foot cover.you use the draw winch to sinch it down and the push it up tight on the trusses giving you a nice snug looking roof. ill post a pic of one. tc marshall -
