Hi everyone,
I finally got some needles and yarn and began learning to knit this week. My ex Mistress loves knitting, and got me hooked on it. There's a nice little yarn shop on Tujunga ave in Studio City that she spied one afternoon when we visited Aroma Cafe so I started wandering in after we broke up. At first I was thinking of buying something that she would like as a gift so that maybe we could get back together. That's probably not a good idea. Meanwhile I got to know the people who owned the store and it became a favorite place to hang out. The owner started asking me when I was going to start knitting. "Are you going to knit today?" Well this week I finally said yes. I picked out some debbie bliss alpaca silk and some #10 bamboo needles, learned how to cast on and started practicing on a ball of "pink" yarn that Tiffany gave me. I can't tell you how many times I've cast on and ripped out just two or three rows because I've done something screwy. Monday night after a simple lesson I went home and practiced through two movies. Didn't see much of the movies. Finally called it a night and had the best sleep ever. Who knew?
Ok its lunch time. Time to knit a few rows.
enjoy
