The funniest things from Farscape stick with me. I'll be thinking how long it is do something and think in "arns" and "microts" and stuff. I rarely think using Frell or anything though. Just in time signatures.

Re: What sticks with you?
Tue, February 13, 2007 - 6:53 AMThe funny line that sticks with me really isn't exclusive to Farscape... but it was when John was like Tell him who is Daddy is??? and D'argo was like "I'm your Daddy" All tough holding his Qualta blade w00t! Okay I know I am a geek cause Aliens have started looking sexy to me :-) The guy has tentacles and an beak like an octopus is on his head but I LOVE HIM!

Re: What sticks with you?
Tue, February 13, 2007 - 7:14 AM"Cross my heart, strike me dead, put a lobster on my head." My favorite parts of Farscape were always John's more manic or suicidal moments. The whole Harvey thing was awesome, took the show to another level. -

Re: What sticks with you?
Tue, February 13, 2007 - 9:28 AMI regularly quote various lines that come to mind or use Scapism (like Frell), but oftentimes they are lost on those around me. Not because they haven't seen Farscape, but because they haven't seen as much or as often as I have.

Re: What sticks with you?
Tue, February 13, 2007 - 2:32 PMBoth the funiest things and the deeply moving scenes stick. The whole "who's your daddy?" sequence, the animated story, John kicking Harvey's ass and throwing him in the dumpster. Chianna taking the Stone. The ending scene in the "look at the Princess" trilogy where John and Aeryn are in the hanger bay: John's talking, Aeryn silently walks up to him and presents the "compatibility juice", they take it. The look on their faces as Aeryn turns and walks away still sends shivers up my spine! The look and sound of despair on John in "We're so Screwed: La Bomba" when he's talking to Aeryn about making a nuke and all the people who've died, and might yet die, because of him.
Sometimes the stories are realy quite rediculous but the quality of the acting can make an otherwised absurd scene work so well you don't even notice.
Now I have to go back and watch the whole series again! Guess I'm not going to be sleeping much the next few days.... -

I really liked Chianna's scenes when they reached Earth too. When she was running round flipping people off. -

Re: What sticks with you?
Wed, February 14, 2007 - 8:26 AMThe thing that sticks with me the most is evolution of John and Aeryn and their relationship.
It was the most unexpected thing to watch and become mesmerized by.
I'm an old softie!

Re: What sticks with you?
Wed, February 14, 2007 - 2:29 PMI think in the DVD extras or something I read Ben and Claudia talked about that, too. They're both romantics and liked to play that up whenever they could.

Re: What sticks with you?
Tue, May 27, 2008 - 9:13 AMI still use frell all the time as well as drad and dren.
I like the smiley face made with food cubes that John made for Aeryn, who didn't get it. Another crazy human thing.
The manic episode Crackers Don't Matter.
The episode when they were projected into each other's bodies.
Anything with the Chiana and other Nebari's. The whole totalitarian control of the Nebari echoes my own deep-seated dread of imposed mass conformity. And, of course, they just looked so cool.
The bio-mechanoids and highly useful creatures like dentiks (sp?).
How John, despite being considered primative by his peers, triumphs through strength of character and, even when he doesn't know their advanced science he understands the concepts behind it well enough to embrace it.
