a nice fellow helped with the conversion.

but now, i have a new issue.
ultimately the file shoudl a flv.
when i import in Flash and save as flv... somehow the sound has disappeared...

anyone out ther can assist with converting a mov to flv??!

I have had the same problem. I don't know if Flash can import the video and audio together. What I have done was, in Quicktime, extracted the audio track (as a mp3 or wav) and imported the quicktime video file and the newly created mp3/wav file to the same movie clip in Flash. (each in its own layer) As long as the movie files' framerate is the same as the Flash timeline framerate, everything synched up just fine.

I have successfully imported AVI files into Flash using the built in Sorenson converter. The sound synched up fine. If you can get your MOV to AVI, that should work.
