Cat with skin issues

My "fluffy" cat, Oakley, has always had some kind of skin thing going on, now it seems like her skin on her hind quarters is getting hard and when she licks it, it starts to crack and bleed (a little). I really haven't had any luck with the vet. Any suggestions? TIA, Auggie

Scotty had lots of skin problems... chin acne, dandruff, some other weird thing... I tried this recipe from The New Natural Cat by Anitra Frazier. You make a big container of it using 1 1/2 cups yeast powder, 1/4 cup kelp powder, 1 cup lecithin granules, 2 cups wheat bran & 2 cups bone meal/calcium lactate/calcium gluconate. (I didn't use the last part). Put a spoonful in with her food. I was skeptical, but it did help him.

That's her generic food additive recommendation. The book has ideas for specific problems as well, including skin problems.

    Hope it helps!
