Cancer Eyes

topic posted Thu, June 28, 2007 - 12:43 PM by  DEE
ok so until recently i started reading people talk about our eyes. anything to that? intensity, depth, a 'stare' or whatever... i'd never noticed in reading any of the descriptions... usually it's the scorpio thing, but what does everyone else think about this?

i get kind of uncomfortable looking at someone directly in the eyes because i don't want them to get the wrong ideas so i usually find myself listening but looking off in the distance and nodding, like i'm processing what they're saying.

i know i'm starting a lot of threads, but the forum seems kinda dead so.... :)

I'd have to say its true. My eyes can be a big brown or a deep dark red. even a mix of brown and green sometimes. I think it has to do with are emotions and depth. I absorb emotions and feelings into my eyes then release it out of my eyes. Ive only come to notice this consciously a short time ago. Scorpios look through a person while we can absorb it. We can also have a twinkle or stars in are eyes, if the emotion is right. DEE keep the threading, this is The Cancers tribe, its nothing but love here..

I find looking into people's eyes interesting. I'll also look at your mouth, the way your nose moves when you talk, and any blemishes you have on your face at the time and how they react with your face muscles moving.

Sometimes I stare too long and make people cry.

Ehh, this is too much information.

I was always told I have "bedroom eyes". I've heard this is a common descriptor of Scorpio and Pisces as well. I get too many looks and long stares so when I go out I wear sunglasses. That seems to help.

I'm a Pisces, and I've been told that too :) And I'm not real good about making eye contact with people either when I'm talking to them.. especially men. Because I don't want them thinking that I'm flirting with them when I'm just being friendly.

Huh, interesting answers. I look people directly in the eyes when I talk to them more than looking away, but years ago I didn't. I kill off a lot more BS when I look at people when I'm talking to them, maybe a defensive thing?

Thats right Alanna. We have a lot of power in our eyes. I always keep eye contact, there is to much information being passed to not. I do look away sometimes and sometimes i feel the need for no eye contact. But if i want to let someone know i'm there, they see it in my eyes.

And I thought that was because I got tired of staring in my extra agressive dad's face. I learned poker face from him when he made me mad.
I rarely look ppl directly in the eyes, mostly I "eye" wander.
Nowadays if I look someone directly in the eye, I am letting the see my emotions as well.

I constantly have men telling me I've been "looking at them in a certain way" when really I've just been attentive and made eye contact, nothing more. Maybe they see something I don't!! I always study people when I speak to them too Ned but they don't seem to cry lol though it sometimes makes people a little uncomfortable. Mind you that could be because I'm Scorpio moon and rising so not just the Cancer element to consider.

Oh and the colour thing is weird too. My eyes can be darkest brown but have days where they're more green and sometimes a lot of amber in them too.

i think perhaps i just try to limit my extended eye contact to the women i date simply because i feel it's too intimate with my feelings otherwise. in a professional setting, however, i don't have this as an issue... just my private life.

next time i go out with my baby imma pleasantly drown him in my eyes' ocean that's filled with sweet mermaids, cornucopias, and even shimmering sand, and then he'll rise to the surface and see the colorful stars close up, yummyyyy

This could be just for anyone or maybe a Scorpio thing, we pick up a lot of things from expressions, mainly the eyes. When I look at a person I tend to look at (INTO and THROUGH) the eyes first (Unintentionally), and as for our Scorpio's natures, naturally analytical, intuitive, and looking straight into others' eyes to feel what they're feeling.

I guess this is why we get more of "What the !&@# are you looking at?!" when we go to pubs lol

It's not the shape and not the color of the eyes, it's the feelings pouring through those eyes that we try to pick up. Next time you know you're going to meet a Scorpio try to take notice whether he/she normally says "It feel like .........." or "It looks like .........."

I stare at everyone in the eyes... Direct eye contact makes sure that your not misunderstood...

Yeah I always use direct eye contact whether I'm fliritng or not. I just hope that when I'm not fliritng it doesn't come off as if I am. =\
          I'm not a cancer though.

I think it depends on the person talked too. In conversations i normally use my ears more then my eyes and tend to look down and then up here and then to show im listening.

I do they eye contact thing too. But people get,s sucked in and people feel uncomfortable with the psycho stare thing. I feel more comfortable with sunglasses ( Both me and the other person)

In my world... anyone can be anything they like.... and can have anything they want!!!

I been told Im a huge flirt too.... it is so unconcious lol...

Maybe Im just not as senstive towards absorbing everyone elses emotions.... I use my shell pretty damn well!!

I noticed if you let someone talk and pour out their thoughts.... while looking at them in the eyes.... It tends to make the other person feel as though you really care... an open ear.... not no evil stare lol....

I grew up around all blue-eyed ppl.... can't get me with eyes lol.... They say that the eyes are the gateway to the soul....I have no need to hide....

                      Same here!
One of my close friends is a cancer asc and she does the same thing. This guy I love is a scorpio rising and it's the most intense thing looking him in the eyes, as if we can stare into eachothers souls... I feel that a lot around other water signs, especially scorpios.....

Good idea, but I think the whole face is probably better idea. Eyes alone are kind of pointless and might just become the 'color contest'.

Its rather natural to look at peoples yes, there is so much there that goes unsaid. When you look into someone's eyes you do as cliche as it sounds see their soul. It is also impecable in communicaiting with one another to look into someone's eyes at some point in time. Not looking people in the eyes can send off the wrong message.

It is difficult sometimes to look at people's eyes you get all shy and look away. can be cute but rather annoying as well.

i dont get comments on alot of things but i do get comments on my eyes
and i dont really like making eye contact, but that could be for a number of reasons
they sort of change shades depending on ho wi'm feeling
if things are going really well, they'll be a really intense orangey brown, and if i'm sick, they get paler and paler, all the way down to like taupe colored

I look into peoples eyes - that i feel confidence to trust. If i dont feel comfortable i just throw a short gaze. Also - i have a very intense stare so i try not too look, because it makes people uncomfortable. Sunglasses works a miracle. It all cancels out the eye thing. Then i can stare as much as i want too. It makes it valid to stare for some reason because people can feel it anyways.

My eyes change too.. sometimes they are lucid, sort of non there, other times they are black as pepper corns.. Mostly they are warm and green orange.

Yep, Dee I'm the say way, and there are also a lot of nut jobs out there, so you have to be careful about looking at someone and them taking it to be an invitation to talk to you or whatever. I just don't look people in the eyes when I'm out in public. If it's someone I'm talking to and I know, then yes, but for safety reasons, I don't.
