Re: What is your favorite movie?
Fri, July 31, 2009 - 12:10 AMYep I like old movies.
I haven't seen enough Golden Era films but it feels really nice watching old films...
I like Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Vivien Leigh...
I am going to find Mae West and Rudolph Valentino films...
Just to experience the old times...
I bought myself a really simple coat at a thrift shop last month... it made me feel like one of those sweet characters in old movies, haha.
~~~
My favorite movie...
Art School Confidential... (off the top of my head)... -
Re: What is your favorite movie?
Fri, July 31, 2009 - 6:59 PMSome old movies give emotion intensity: "Rebel without a Cause", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof",
From "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"
Brick: Mendacity is a system that we live in. Liquor is one way out an’ death’s the other.
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
I also like "Burn in the Sun", "apocalyse Now"
From "Apocalyse Now":
Kurtz: Have you ever considered any real freedoms? Freedoms from the opinion of others... even the opinions of yourself?
Kurtz: I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight... razor... and surviving. -
