Hi everyone,
I recently found out I'm a cancer rising and upon stumbling on this information about it have been very troubled since. Although I've been happy after having read it because I feel that FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME... BUT most of it is quite negative and it doesn't give me any ways of overcoming them. If any of you would be so kind as to read what it is (below) and PLEASE SHARE WITH ME IF YOU HAVE ANY SIMILAR EXPERIENCES and of course, HOW TO overcome or deal with them.
In many instances, circumstances will require that you play the role of worldliness and sophistication but under the mask there will exist a very sensitive human being who is easily offended, and also very perceptive of the more subtle influences and impressions, as well as of psychic vibrations.
Cancer gives the tendency to completely retreat when hurt or frightened of a situation. This happens to you often because you tend to interfere in the affairs of others when you are not needed or wanted. Throughout your life, your responses will be emotional rather than rational.
Cancer also gives a tendency for life to be centered in the home and family; your attachment to your private and domestic habits is so strong that without them you could hardly endure. In love matters, you are emotional and gentle.
For the difficult aspects we must warn you against becoming overly preoccupied with trivial details of a psychological nature. Another tendency that you have is to flatter and to criticize carelessly, without regard for the other person's feelings.

I can see how this description might not be so seemingly positive, but it is... Cancers, whether you are a Cancer Rising, Moon or Sun; tend to be very sensitive... and it can work both ways, for your happiness or your misery... it's up to you really... be sensitive to others around you... you can easily pick up on how another might be feeling without even having to talk to them... this is yer Cancer coming out! In the same instance use that intuition when you feel like maybe you are being a bit too sensitive... there are times we cancers can take offence when there was none intended... don't let yer emotions rule you... rule your emotions.... as a wonderful Yogi put it... "we are given a mind, we are not given to the mind..."
Maybe you should look for other descriptions... there are so many ways to see and percieve things that you can't always just take one point of view, take many!! I have a book that says---> you might be a gifted poet, writer or painter... Because you are so tuned-in to the nuances of other people's motivations, you are able to absorb what others are feeling and thinking. You pick up opinions, thoughts, facts from all around you and, being very clever and practical (as well as visionary), you are able to put all this information to work for you.<---
That sounds about right... :D :D :D
There is always a positive to be found in every seemingly negative... you just have to look for them...

Ok first of all dear cancer rising is not a bad thing. ITS GOOD!
Cancer rising just means that the first impression you give to the world is that of a cancer native.
Cancers are extremely calm kind pleasant people. It is not negative you just don’t understand what its like to be a cancer. And honestly most of what people say is negative is positive and strong features a person can have in their chart. Cancer are cardinal, movers shakers strong people with will power and a good head on their shoulders.
Sensitivity- just means that you are able to understand the world around you better than most people. This doesn’t mean that you are one emotional rollercoaster.
Retreatment- this only happens in the extreme situations and is really a time of self reflection. The thing about interference is complete crock. And the thing about emotional rather than rational goes there too. Throw that down the toilet. You are probably very relational but with the caner you are able to consider emotional factors as well, so there I would say that you are better off than most.
Cancers don’t do anything carelessly unless its something totally stupid that doesn’t matter. Caners move slow…why because they don’t rush and want to make sure that they make the right movement.
So to recap you come off as a nice balanced sweet sensual level headed approachable person. :D If i were you id do a happy dance!
