cancers and Libras

A match between a Cancer and a Libra is not one of the matches most would say is made in happiness. These two signs are quite different and have different views and expectations, not to mention the way in which they cope with every day life issues is entirely different.
Libras for some or other reason are attracted to Cancers. It may be the lack of understanding a cancerian which draws Libras in and nags at their desire to understand and balance things. Im just speculating on this because im not a Libra. But it is interesting to me to know those libras which are attracted to cancers, what makes you attracted to them and does the attraction last?

Now this is a topic I'm definitely curious about. I don't know about the astrology of it, and I have never dated a Libra so I can't speak to the compatibility issue, but having said that it seems like every Libra I meet I get along with famously. Male and Female. Totally non-sexual, just a really good easy and immediate comfortable friendship like feeling. Maybe it has to do with my relationship with my Mother, who is a Libra, more than anything else. I'm willing to weigh that factor in the equation. But I'm curious to see what others who actually know more about astrology than I do (which is relatively little) have to say about the relationships, friendship or otherwise, between Cancers and Libras.

    :)

I have a Cancer friend who dated a Libra lady for about 3 years. But it ended up not working out. He said they got along ok and are still friends, but he doesn't think he ever really loved her. I'm not sure why it didn't work out though.. I met him after they already broke up

Its all cool Its just interesting to me and i can see to others the basic aspect of this pairing.
I am involved with a libra and what I can tell from our pairing is probably what most cancers can tell you. Libras are fun exciting make any situation refreshing and fun, but they lack the emotional commitment and consideration that cancers really require. Which is really sad because for cancers thats the most important thing, next to faithfulness.

I'm not the most objective Libra, as my moon conjuncts venus in the seventh house Cancer on cusp. All I can say is, that I'm completely fascinated by Cancer energy. Twice I fell hopelessly in love with two marvellous Cancer girls and am now involved with one Cancer ascendant. It has something to do with the way they can envelop their surroundings with their feelings...they make it almost tangible, they are so direct in expressing themselves physically, but much more refined and powerful than say... taurus and less tense than a Scorpio. It is as if they are filling up something very dry and empty for a long time...They are very much in touch with nature and are almost like elemental spirits...

They form emotional attachments with almost anything, they are so visceral and sensitive, it's breaks my heart. And deep, don't forget deep, very imaginative, innocent and changeable...unpredictable, yet strangely enough have a very relaxing effect on me. They make me feel home ;) They are dreamy, soft-spoken, have beautiful voices and are above all very sensual.
They have deep nurturing, motherly energy that grounds us air-types I guess, offering us a glimpse in the realm of emotions. Most Libras tend to intellectualize things, find out, how they work...understanding people while forgetting to just experience them. Cancer offers that without the danger and power issues of Scorpio and strangeness and dependance of Pisces.

I'm a Cancer ascendant (Pisces Sun), and my bf has a Libra Moon (Aquarius Sun), and we go together well :) And we get along well for the most part, he has a tendency to be a 'know it all' lol.. but that's probably because of his Aquarius Sun :)) ( And the fact that he's 7 yrs older than I am might not help in that area :D)

I've had a couple long term relationships with libras. I wouldn't say it was my favorite energy, but alot of other things go into the attraction besides sun sign. Both relationships worked for quite some time. One broke when we wanted different things. I'm not sure why the other one broke, but suspect something similar.

Im not Cancer, but a Pisces sun- and have had number of relationships with Libras-Libra risings-. So many that I had my chart done
to try to figure out why -without knowing what their sign was at first- I was always with them.
I saw how much Aquarius I had, and a Gemini asc. I was told that Libra was my missing air-as well as other factors.
If you- a Cancer have a lot of air- or your Libra has water -their will be an attraction.
My favorite Libra had a Cancer moon -and I have a Scorpio moon so thats compatible also.
I think what Ive learned is that you cant just compare Sun signs- its like saying you are the same in every situation.
And I would really suggest having a chart done and interpreted by someond that knows what they are talking about. It really helps to see it.
It really answered a lot of questions for me.

I forgot to mention- my ex- a Libra is involved with a Cancer- and I am going to their commitment ceremony in August.
I am giving them a Vedic composite chart reading by David Ray an astrologer I got on tribe- who is in my friends-for their gift.

The sun sign in a chart is only one aspect to consider. Within the natal chart we have the Ascendant which is the time you where born and the constellation rising(hence rising sign) on the horizon. Each planet is in a sign and house of the chart as well as interacting harmoniously or challengingly at the time of birth. Each planet and sign represents a part of the psychy. Therefore someone who is a Cancer sun sign may have the moon in Libra the day they were born or Libra Rising. When dealing with relationships or situations, it is important to look at the whole chart just as you would want to look at all aspects of a person. Therefore it is extremely difficult to say a Cancer and a Libra could not find harmony in a relationship. In aspect Cancer and Libra are in square of one another. Squares are respresentative of the planet Mars therefore the challenges of the egos of these two signs will at times find themselves in heated situations(wink) both positive and negative. Anger and passion are similar emotions. As I mentioned before, without looking at a couples chart it is difficult to know how they would deal with situations together. If a Cancer has a Libra moon for example, the Libra would find comfort in emotional times and find it easy to allow Cancer to see their emotional side which is not a place Libra enjoys going. Thanks for posting Karina....Michelle
