Ok, here's a good one...just to see what the statistics are...

          Well I was with an Aries for 5 years. I wouldn't recommend any Cancers date Aries though. It's like oil and water. And Aries like to judge a lot. Most of all, Aries don't typically like to be dominated by the intellectual side of Cancers. And they most detest our emotional detachment when we feel threated and our emotional outbursts. An Aries wants a mans man not an introverted guy who loves his mother and puts women on pedestals.

    well in terms of relationships, for the past 4 years now- Capricorn
    Before that... 4 year relationship off and on, with a.... Capricorn
    One of the "in-betweeners" was a Scorpio... (short-lived but powerful)


    I think on someone else's post I noticed they had a really long relationship with a Cappy... perhaps this combination is one where both parties are reluctant to let go.

      I'm so hurt, I really am. We Aries get a bad rap. Not all Aries are such non caring persons. I'm no in Love with my Cancer friend. I understand his moods and totally respect them. I would never step on him and disrespect his moods. I love him for his creative ideas and I care deeply that he's such a wonderful caring man. Sometimes, I just sit back in awe of him. All Aries are not selfish, when he hurts, I cry with him..I too have deep feelings and emotions. I have no problem in expressing how I feel to him nor to any other friends. I just think that I' much more older and understand people needs and that I wish to share with them their true feelings. I love love people and I don't care what sign they are.
      Yes, I do have my ways, but we all do. We all have been hurt in life and that's the beauty of it all.. you experience that hurt and get over it, but you never forget how it felt..So, when I see anyone in that pain, I can easily relate and love on them and help them through that feeling.
      So, please never judge a book by it's cover. You may pass up a good loving, caring, understanding friend.

        new to this group-- howdy all you other Cancerians!
        here's my tally:
        Leo (horribly dysfunctional-- all about me groveling to be with him)
        Capricorn- 4 years (1 yr dating, 1 yr living together, 1 yr married, 1 yr separating)
        Aries (long time-- 11 yrs, started out with a lot in common, taught each other long painful lessons about codependence. I escaped with my soul)
        Scorpio (8 months-- initial infatuation followed by mutual realization that we weren't "it")
        Gemini (1 year as of next week (yay!). my soulmate to the point that I finally understand what all those people were talking about "soul mates.")

        I was born on June 22, just barely made it under the wire to Cancerdom-- he was born on May 26th-- just a week shy of Cancer. Does that explain it?

      well, the Taurus and i are no longer together after a year and a few months.

      positives - loving, nurturing, supportive

      negatives - uncommunicative, jealous, insecure

      the Taurus would like everyone to know that it was mostly the cancers fault. ; )

      we're actually still friends and living together, only she's seeing our neighbor now (a common friend in our social circle - Gemini/Cancer cusp) while we sleep in the same bed. awkward, to say the least.

          Hi there, another newbie Cancerian joining in :-) (born 07 July)
          To add to the list:

          Pisces (almost 2 years - lots of lies, cheating and abuse)
          Aries (almost 2 years - no understanding of Cancerian moods or humour ;-))
          Aquarius (current - wonderfully exciting and intense but definitely a challenge)

          On the verge - I see you have been with an Aquarian for years.
          I am with an Aquarian too and I find it hard sometimes to feel secure constantly as he has days where he will tell me over and over again how much he loves me and then the next day he hardly pays attention to me. I know what we have is for real and he is madly in love with me but sometimes I need to really pull myself together not to get too clingy with Mr. "I love my freedom" ;-)
          Does that sound familiar? (Or am I just highly insecure? GRIN)

            That sounds very familiar Maria. I've been with my Aquarius for over 8 years, and its definitely a challenge. He goes through that, "I love you so much" phase and into the, "why are you distancing yourself from me phase" (when he's the one that distancing himself!). When we are on the same page, its great, we're having a good time but once we get off it...forget it. He likes to talk talk talk talk talk and make it seem like he is the one with all the answers and I'm wrong, everyone is wrong. Aquarians are very opinonated and are very stubborn with their opinions. I've just learned to deal with it, and have been TRYING to talk it out more and actually make him listen to me. Its been working, and he's now realizing how stubborn he can be.

              Sooo true! Once you accept your differences, it's great.

              I found that too, my Aquarian made effort to reassure me.

              But I can be demanding and over the top with it sometimes too lol.

              The thing I like about Aquarians is they are reciprocal in relationships :)

              They are also humanitarians and have taught me to have thick skin and laugh
              at everything hehe.

      Pisces-could have worked if he had not done something so stupid & I wasn't so damn needy
      I don't even remember the other guys. Most of the relationships lasted 3 months with one ending badly (he was a fire sign and VERY dominating)

      I'd probably go back with Pisces since they seem to just "know" you need love.

    the biggies have mostly been scorpios
    one for 3 years and the second for almost 12
    a huge smattering of them in my past
    im drawn to them and they always let me down

    the pisces are the best ones
    the ones i still love deeeply

    an aries i have loved for 23 years is back
    and i hope to love him for another 25
    or until the sky goes dark

    Good question - however, I wouldn't, as others have, equate "meaningful" with "longterm". The most meaningful relationship in my life lasted three days. ("Meaningful" being in this case defined as a positive change inducing experience.") I don't know what sign she was.

    But to the point - listed in order of depth of shared feeling rather than length of relationship

    Scorpio
    Capricorn (High School sweetheart - so may not count)
    Virgo (turned out to be the most devastating)

    And one more... for fantasticness..... Pisces.... turned out to be a dream.... but what a dream

        The Virgo was my ex wife. Although we remain the best of friends, our marriage was a nightmare. She had a standard of male perfection impossible for any one to meet... well certainly for me.

          Libra (boring)
          Virgo (currently married...it's an experience we'll say)

          The person who made the biggest impact was a Scorpio. We were only friends because I wouldn't allow anything else to happen between us. I was so scared by the intensity of my own feelings. If I loved him that much as a friend I knew I'd be completely overwhelmed by falling in love, like drowning almost. The connection we had was truly amazing, I could feel his energy mingling with mine. He'll always be a big regret for me.

    Aries, Aries, Aries. my ex-husband was born 04/10/65. My short term love was born 04/11/67...my first boyfriend, was born 04/10/64. I've sworn off Aries, but i've sworn off relationships in general.

    Well not entirely, just thinking more about them....sigh.

      Currently with a Libran. 10 years with another Cancerian, which was good but not passionate. . Horrible time with a Taurus, but we have a wonderful Virgo child. We arent together though, split when she was 4 and shes 19 now.
